I came across your video because I’m experiencing lower back pain while performing b stance rdl and was trying to determine why and if it’s due to incorrect form, weak abdominal muscles or something else.

Hi, thanks for the video. Would there be any reason to use this over an ab wheel?
An ab wheel helps you focus on utilizing the abs more, where as with a barbell with your hands at shoulder width it's easier to engage the lats to assist on the ascent.
If you’re unable to maintain a nice, neutral back while performing with an abwheel, this would be a similar exercise to build midline core strength, but slightly easier because you can utilize your lats a bit more effectively to keep a good low back position during the entirety of the movement. Both exercises are great, just depends on your capacity to perform them properly.

I came across SIJ exercises recently by chance on youtube. If it's of interest, the techniques used are very similar in principle to Charles Atlas's "Isotension" routines from the 1960s.
Great video. I threw my back out took me over an hour just to get out of bed this morning extreme pain been looking online all day on how to relief the pain. Been doing all these exercises and this one was the best one I can actually move now with little pain. Truly thank you for posting this video. 🙏
