What I’m really surprised at is the obvious “plot hole” of it being Lancel as their ringleader. I mean, he was definitely still a member of court when The Mountain had done other badass brutally destroy people things even if he hasn’t heard about his “resurrection,” so there’s not even plausible deniability there that he didn’t know what he was facing. You would have thought there would have been a “no guys, you don’t understand, I’ve SEEN what this guy does to people! We all need to rush and gank him at once” kind of moment or realization that happens before heads start rolling, literally. Were they still playing up the “imbecile cousin” plot line or were they trying to overemphasize the religious fanatical aspect?
