One of my first animes that I watched outside of the television. At the time, I watched vanguard through youtube, and it was around 2014, when the Vanguard generation just released a few episodes. I watched untill the early parts of vanguard generations then I totally stopped, because I missed the dynamic from the original series. Vanguard will always have a special place in my heart.🤍 I really enjoy the slice of life moments more than the competition arcs honestly. Some of my most memorable episodes are the camp/beach arc with the regional champions(I forgot the teams name), iirc its the first episode Aichi realised he could talk to the cards or smthng.

My biggest disappointment with this arc is how they handled Aichi. I was so excited to see a menacing, yet polite aichi. But it turns out he was never evil? Big missed opportunity; an evil aichi that kept his personality would’ve been super cool

Next month is my 10 years since I watched Vanguard on RUclips after we came back from Korea.

Good old days.. Cardfight Vanguard The first Vanguard was released in 2011 the same as Yu Gi Oh Zexal was been around as well. This Yu Gi Oh was been around in 1997 or 1998.

I can't describe this song and makes me feel amazed.

First time I seen this Vanguard when I was kid. I love Vanguard so much that makes me feel excited. This show is best card game ever.

I have such a funky relationship with vanguard, I find so much nostalgia in it yet I didnt play the game itself at all, and i didnt completely watch the anime. bUT, what I did do: my brother used to watch it/play the card game alllll the time and so I would always watch from the sidelines. Whether it was him playing the game or simply watching the show, u tried to learn how to play the game a couple times but i never got into it, it was just hard for me. Anyways with that being who knows how fucking long ago, I recently heard one of the openings and immediately was like, "HUH WAIT I KNOW THIS!" and I asked my brother who was playing it and he just asked me to take a guess, and I said vanguard :) nice to say I got it right. I loved this show and game
