William Woodcleft Wilderness Journeys

Добавлен 19 дек 2017
I have been an avid outdoorsman for more than 50 years. My pursuits are primarily hiking, backpacking, camping, canoeing, (Tenkara) fly-fishing and more recently, hammock camping and hot tenting, most of which has been in New York's Adirondack Mountains. Originally I created this channel to have the videos available to watch when I could no longer do these trips, but family and friends asked me to share them, so I opened the channel to the public. The channel is a "work in progress," as I am still learning the ins/outs of the software and searching for a personal style for my videos. Thus you will find some things on the channel that are raw footage, others are roughly edited and some are more refined pieces of work. Unfortunately, because I received some nasty, rude and unpleasant comments, I decided to turn off the comments. However, I would appreciate any constructive comments by email and encourage you to visit my blog and field recording sites. Thank you very much for visiting!

Thanks for subscribing. I turned the comments off because I got some nasty, unpleasant comments. I hope you enjoy the videos. I'm not a professional, it is merely a hobby and something I enjoy doing.
New subscriber to your channel, unfortunately I can't comment on your videos because you have the option turned off great videos , watching Fork Lake Paddle very relaxing
Hi. Thanks very much for subscribing and for getting in touch. Unfortunately, I had to turn off comments after getting a number of nasty, rude and unpleasant comments.
@@williamwoodcleftjourneys Totally understand, sometimes people have nothing better to do. I get the odd one but hasn't been to bad luckily.
@@tuckerandi I appreciate your understanding. Actually, I was quite shocked by some of the comments and never expected it. I honestly thought that those who would be watching would be interested outdoors people and more understanding, especially realizing I am not a professional videographer. Thanks again for visiting and best regards.
@@williamwoodcleftjourneys That video was great and I scanned your content and hope to view more later in the days to come , I'm been really busy thay past month and been struggling to find time to get videos up myself hopefully get one out for a trout soon lol. Have a great week
Thanks very much. The recording and editing is still very much a work in progress. I appreciate the comment and support. All the best to you too.
Beautiful day out there. Liked the video. Also subscribed to the channel. Be safe out there.
Thank you very much. I appreciate that you subscribed. The video work is definitely still a work in progress, so I appreciate your Like. All the best to you.
I enjoyed this very much. What length paddle are you using?
Thanks very much. The paddle is 260 cm. I had shorter ones, but they didn't work as well.
Thanks. I like the canoe. 10'6" or 12? Thanks for the info. I am thinking of a similar boat.
It's a 12 ft. Hornbeck Classic. Weighs 18 lbs. Really great. Can hold quite a bit a gear (although I tend to take less with it than I do with my 15.5 ft. (32 lb.) Sawyer Autumn Mist. Easy to carry either overhead or on the shoulder. It has really extended my paddling life and made certain trips possible now that I'm older.
That lake is beautiful
I couldn't agree more. I had a chance to paddle the southern end of it on the way out. My plan was to camp for a few nights at the primitive campsite on the south shore shown on the Paddler's Map, but could never find it. I did spend some time at the beach on the southern end - really nice! Too bad they don't have a campsite near that. I plan to go back to the lake sometime to try to find that campsite again and hopefully camp there.
