WHY DIDNT YOU CLOSE OFF THE ENDS WITH SOMETHING? BEING A CONSTRUCTION SITE I AM SURE YOU COULD HAVE FOUND SOMETHING. IT WOULD HAVE MADE THE TUBE A LITTLE WARMER
@@MIKE-zt5yu i shoulda
Rats are very friendly and hygienic when they are breed to be pets there is nothing gross or wrong with it, studies actually show that rats will act like dogs 😊
By your work
Wish it was better stateless steal🎉
@@tonyporenshenko425 same, and full tang
So would you say ka- bar is a better or equal knife?
@@tonyporenshenko425 ka-bar all the way

Thank you for not allowing me to waste my money!
@petek1pml746 thanks for the comment. Glad I could help.
Fight fight fight. Jk
"The file is made out of Metall" OK, next time they'll make them out of plastic.
Its a better fighting knife then survival. I have an original B.G. the fit in the hand is nice. Ok for light camping in a park or fishing. But i am saving up for the gerber strong arm. I just bought a mora at walmart the copanion 19.72. . its nice but its not a 60 buck mora. I do like the look of the ultimate tho and you get extras that you dont with mora. The shape is just so styled after most fighters. I collect and use all kinds. From buck to italy made autos to gas station knives that catch my eye. And iv had some cheap master and m techs thats lasted me years of factory work.
Definitely time for a cage match.
You have one of the originals with the black band on the hand guard; the one I had as a kid I did not take care of gosh I wish I did, the New ones got a gold band And in all don’t feel different to shoot but something about it makes me a little sad
Sharpest out of the box I've ever seen.....and i own a bunch of knives.
@@redriver6541 agree, it's a beast
Just get larger scissors
New Mexico heaven
💙 the shirt!
@@adventureseeker9800 thank you
I have the opposite problem. Straight out of the box, my g10 instinct will not fit snuggly in it’s sheath. It wiggles around in there and slides out way too easily. Dangerous and very disappointing. Did you have that problem?
@@jjj1981jj nope, I'd maybe try to contact SOG for a new sheath.
IQ 220 😉
Just wanna say i leaned your supposed to put your seatbelt behind your gun in the car, so taht way if you get in a crash, the gun dosent press so hard against your stomach it causes abdominal damage. Learned that from a Navy Seal, safer, and just as fast maybe even faster
Underrated, Awesome knife. I absolutely love mine.
@@phildar5750 I love this thing! Thanks for commenting.
USA SOG pillar... one of the most under promoted Awesome knives. Love mine!
Hey, good work. I'm guessing this field sharpener is more like a portable solution and you get the knife sharp enough to do your work. I don't think it's your fault for "not being good at cutting paper" it's more like the knife didn't get sharp enough to cut the paper easily, also for shaving it's not sharp enough. You would probably need more dedicated tools to do a perfect job. Thank you for the presentation of this tool.
I've got one, paid £17... that's about $20... can't believe the quality, its one of my favourite knives in my collection even if it's one of the cheapest... Great review. : -)
@@samthehikingman9484 Thanks for watching and commenting. I am glad you enjoyed my review. It is a great budget knife that definitely stays in my EDC rotation.
If you hook it around both twines on a straw bale it's much easier to handle the bale.
Thank you!!!

I just got one for $36 on Amazon. Overall I like it for the money and the stonewash finish is a plus.

Maybe I can swing the budget for both. One is a fixed blade, the other is a folder; it'd be an interesting head to head.

UH OH Botch Job
Funny video I like it i have the same knife and yeah ain't the best but if you have a good Sharpening skill, you can make of this a really great knife very sturdy
@@christianmelchor6953 thanks for watching and commenting. And for thinking I am funny. Maybe they will remake the ultimate pro version.
I liked how sincere you wete talking about , from one regular dude to another i can really tell you were being honest about the knife, and it wasn't some of that made up test, it would be great to have a better version of this knife, but i thini Gerber now keeps it i ñn different range and prices like pro knife militar grade arround 100 200 dlls or this for us normal folk about 20 40 dlls
The pint has more tool and a corkscrew is useless
Corkscrew is not "useless" :: research for many uses. Like saying a hammer is useless. Know your tools, it isn't all that hard.
That's a Victorinox fieldmaster. Not a huntsman. I reviewed it recently on my channel.
"I can't open the hook after cutting my nails 😭"
@@OguzhanGrlr same.
Use the toothpick
Nice review. However I have 2 comments. You make quite a deal about the saw not having a lock. I'm not quite sure why that would be a problem, as pressure is ALWAYS downwards. If it's a problem (and I don't see how) one could always stabilise the saw tip onto the surface that the tinder is on, and draw the ferro-rod backwards (which is the popular method anyway). This ensures one doesn't scatter the tinder with a careless stroke. I really don't see it being a big issue ( and apparently, nor do Victorinox!). The other observation is that it appears that the Ranger grip does not have the awl/reamer tool. That is a big disappointment, as this is one of the tools on my Swiss Champ that I most frequently use! The ability to make holes is a seriously important asset. Apart from these two issues, this knife is very high on my list of outdoor tools. BTW, have you any plans to review the V'nox Venture Pro bushcraft knife system? Awesome piece of kit! Cheers mate.
@dennisleighton2812 thanks for the comment and for watching. I'll check out that venture pro system you mentioned. After using the knife more and more my complaint about the saw lock is void.
@@DeepSouthEdc Oops, my bad! On reflection, and because I was unsure I decided to check, and found that the Ranger Grip 79 does in fact have an awl/reamer! So, with your comment, and my mistake, we agree that it IS a damn fine tool set! Also, yeah, you really should check out the Venture! One thing about it is the extremely sharp 90 deg edges it has, both on the blade back AND on the exposed tang! Several very prominent people in the knife world actually claim it is the sharpest one is likely to find on any knife straight from the factory. And the tang curvature is such that it makes a perfect scraper for, say, scraping out the bowl of a wooden cup or spoon! One doesn't see that feature on any other knife I've ever heard of. Worth a good look at. I await your review with anticipation.
You are still my dad
