man sounds great !!!! I have that mouthpiece but it still gives me problems with its huge tip opening... would you mind to tell me your reed ?. you sound superb.

PianistlavFastlovsky I think he’s playing a synthetic reed. I have a .115 (8*) King mouthpiece and use a Rigotti 2.5 medium that is somewhat used and smooshed down. I can play it for hours.

The Florida Link I have now is (for my taste) exceptional even among florida Links, and I tried to find another one, because I'm getting old 76) and it's #9, actually closer to #9* (Links never were too precise with the openings). It's taking lots of air, and I seem to have now less of it than before. It looks very ugly, but I'm afraid to let anybody touch it ( I showed it to Don Menza, and he also advised me not to touch it)

You may be correct, even old Florida links are uneven and should be thoroughly tested. I've tried 8 new Otto Links with the same opening in the shop, only one was really playing, the rest were from bad to so-so.

Never could understand why one has to add baffle to a good Otto Link. The sound I hear here supports my view (in my opinion - some may love it) I can hear the reed making "zzzzz" and the bottom is shallow.
