    Why I'm not receiving power on each fuse terminal and on the wires to the wiper motor and on the wiper switch by the steering?

    • @the_amateur
      @the_amateur 7 дней назад

      Hello, I'm not sure, but I think it's possible that the problem comes from the ignition switch or relay. If the wiring is fine and there are no broken or damaged wires there is a good chance it is the ignition switch. If I'm not mistaken, on these Mercedes the wipers only worked when the ignition was on. It's worth checking and confirming that you have power from the switch.

    I have same problem.....did you have it fixed and what did you do to get it right

    • @the_amateur
      @the_amateur 2 месяца назад

      Hello, unfortunately my car had and still has many problems that prevented it then and now from working well. I can't give you a specific reason because in my case there are many. I haven't removed them all yet, and I'm not sure if I ever will. There are many reasons for this, but the main one is that even before I bought these cars, I was thinking of removing this fuel system and replacing it with something more modern. For this reason, I have stopped working on this problem until I make a final decision in order to avoid unnecessary costs in trying to fix a system that I may not even use in the future. However, I will try to give you some tips related to this system. In order for it to work properly, you must make sure that the fuel filter and the tank filter are clean and that there is enough fuel reaching the fuel pump. If you can check the fuel nozzles that they are all in good condition. It is extremely important on these cars that you do not have a vacuum leak around the intake manifold, throttle valve and the injector itself. A clean air filter and sufficient air flow are a must. It is also very important for these engines that the ignition system is in very good condition if spark plugs, cables, spark plugs, etc. need to be checked and replaced. And last but not least something that is extremely important to check the fuel pressure and whether the pump is working. These engines need high pressure to work properly. Check the rubber diaphragm at the inlet of the intake manifold for cracks. Those are the main things I can think of. The problem with these cars is that the same problem can be due to many different reasons and there is no way to indicate it easily without diagnostics of the car. Hope you find your problem. Good luck!

    Hi, I have a problem with my w124 200e, it starts but after a few seconds turns off, do you know what could be the problem? OVP is already been replaced

    • @the_amateur
      @the_amateur 3 месяца назад

      Hello, I apologize for the late reply but I am working on a very involved project and I have almost no time left at the moment. First I should mention that I have a similar problem with one of the w124's that I bought a few months ago. It has only been fired once or twice since I bought it and unfortunately when I had to fire it up the last time it didn't work. And due to the lack of time, I never tried to find out what was the reason for this. I just want to say that I have an obstacle like yours that I have yet to overcome. But back to your problem. I'm not sure if I can help you because there could be many reasons and to be honest these cars are always hard to diagnose. Even when the car can be inspected on site, let alone diagnosed remotely. I won't even try to give you a specific reason because there are many and I'd rather not guess it without information about the car. If I could give you advice, it would sound like this. When you decide to find out what is the cause of the problem, first find out from which system the problem comes from. When you start it again and it goes out check for spark and fuel. If there is no spark, you can look for the problem in the ignition system. For example, coil, commutator, computer, etc. However, if there is no fuel, you are looking for the problem in the fuel system. Here, however, even if there is fuel, the pressure in the fuel system is also a factor, because these cars work at high pressure, and that's where a problem can potentially come from. As I said there could be any number of reasons. Even they may be more than one. Which makes pointing out a specific problem without the necessary information almost impossible.

But that doesn't matter because I just checked in the Autodata I use and according to it the check plug is the same in the same place. Maybe someone has replaced the bolt at your check plug or double check and make sure you found the correct bolt.

There is a small cap that can be unscrewed where the screens are. You remove one filter at a time and reinstallation is reverse of removal.

    Can you replace de ac condenser without removing the intercooler and front bumper?

    • @the_amateur
      @the_amateur 5 месяцев назад

      Hello, first of all I want to clarify that I worked on this Mercedes two years ago, maybe even more since then. And I used the video to remember at least a little bit how the parts are positioned. In this case, I think that it will not be possible to replace it without dismantling the bumper and the cooler. If I'm not mistaken on this model the condenser of the air conditioner is located right under the radiators. To dismantle it there is a bolt in the center between the two tubes going into it. I don't think it could be unscrewed without access from the front of the car. I don't want to mislead you, and it might be good for you to look up more information on the matter. Unfortunately, I don't have such a Mercedes on which I could see if I'm right and give you a reliable answer to the question. The Mercedes in the video belonged to a friend, which has already been sold anyway.

      Hello, when it comes to trees of this size it is always difficult especially when they are close to buildings. But if you give yourself enough time and make a good plan, you can do it. Of course it is important how much you can reduce the size of each piece to be safe. As you mentioned sometimes the tree is so big that even the small pieces are not that small. The important thing is to take your time and think things through. If it's so big that you can't handle it, it's a better idea not to do it. Safety comes first. Sometimes the risk is not worth it. But if you do decide to do it, I wish you good luck!

      @the_amateur 5 месяцев назад

      I assume it's Audi 80 engines in this case. So far I have not worked on a 2.0 engine and have no experience with them. But the principle is the same. There are several 2.0 Audi 80 engines from this generation and it is hard to tell what the differences are because the engines are also different. One of the 2.0 engines is very close even identical to the 1.8 engine. The rest are not. Aside from engine size, the biggest difference comes from the fuel system. Injection method for both engines. I guess the size of the valves might be different. Maybe the intake, exhaust manifold to differ. It really depends on which engine it is.

    Mercedes much earlier introduced very similar EFI system you show on the Opel. It was so long ago that they couldn't make the electonic control unit durable and probably cheap enough, so they returned to the continuous injection and developed it further.

    • @the_amateur
      @the_amateur 6 месяцев назад

      Thank you for the comment. Extremely useful and interesting. I have no doubt that Mercedes were capable of developing such a system at the time they used mechanical injection. They are the automotive company that has perhaps introduced the most improvements and innovative solutions in the automotive world. They were always one step ahead of others in one way or another. And this is where the bewilderment from my side comes from why they didn't switch to a more practical and reliable system than the mechanical injection earlier? When a company like GM used a similar system on a massive scale, what were they waiting for? But after making the video I looked up some information on the matter which shed some light on the potential reasons. I won't go into detail, and to be honest, I don't remember all the details, it was a long time ago, but what stood out as the main reason is practically the financial point of view. As always, costs determine the approach of companies, even if it is not the best solution, if it is the most profitable, then it is the right one. Leaving aside the production costs of each system as a more important factor in this case was another factor. Even if they were aware that there was a better system they could use especially in recent years and models of the mechanical injection it was more profitable to continue using it. Because a lot of money and time was invested in the development of this system, and they simply decided to use it as long as possible. Although they were able to go to the next level much earlier. I did not like this because it is a very serious compromise if true.

I found it and the only thing written on it is: TORRINGTON UF-202-139 But I'm not entirely sure because the inscriptions are very difficult to read. They are worn and hardly visible. When I google this code, the same bearing comes up and I guess this number is correct. In case there is a discrepancy, you can try with 189 at the end of the code, but I think it is exactly 139. The axle seal is in the bearing itself on these gearboxes.

      Stary, wiesz, kiedy nagrywałem ten film specjalnie dla ciebie, zastanawiałem się, czy ci się spodoba. Zrobiłem to dla Chopina, dajesz się ponieść tam, gdzie nie ma już dla ciebie nic. Czego oczekujesz ? Wyobraź sobie, że kręcąc film chciałem, żeby był jak najbardziej przydatny i stanowił część historii samochodu. Ten film nie ma na celu tylko pokazania, gdzie znajduje się czujnik! Gdyby tak było, trwałoby to 30 sekund! Jeśli masz taki problem, przewiń tak daleko, jak potrzebujesz! Nie rozumiem, dlaczego narzekasz, skoro znalazłeś potrzebne informacje? Najwyraźniej film i tak był dla ciebie pomocny, po co ten cały dramat w ciągu kilku minut wideo? Aby następnym razem było łatwiej, możesz przeszukać kolumnę krótkich filmów, tam wszystko dzieje się w ciągu kilku sekund! Jeśli Twoim celem było przyciągnięcie uwagi i pokazanie, że masz W124, to nie tędy droga. Chętnie porozmawiam z każdym niezależnie od tego kim jest, jaki jest, skąd pochodzi, o samochodach i w ogóle o wszystkim. Będę nawet szczęśliwy! Ale nie rozumiem, po co potrzebne jest takie negatywne podejście i obojętność na pracę innych? Tak czy inaczej cieszę się z każdego miłośnika motoryzacji, a tym bardziej dla posiadaczy klasycznych Mercedesów, dlatego życzę Ci sukcesów w użytkowaniu Mercedesa i wszelkich przyszłych przedsięwzięć!

    Very good video! Ty for the upload! I have a problem with my clio jb gearbox. When i try to put it into reverse i just cant. It always slips out into gear 1. The only way to get it into reverse is to go under the car and hardly push the selector with bare hands. Do you have any idea whats causes my reverse problem? Ty very much!

    • @the_amateur
      @the_amateur 6 месяцев назад

      Thanks for the cool comment! Unfortunately, I cannot say what exactly could be the cause of the problem you have with your gearbox. I assume there is no play on the shifter or somewhere on the rod to the box because that could make a difference. In case you feel resistance when you engage reverse gear, that means it doesn't engage as easily as the other gears, for example. The problem may be in the box. Maybe the synchronizer is damaged or the bushings of the lever that moves the gears. It's possible that one of the metal balls on the shifters is sticking for some reason. It matters if the box was left without oil or with not enough oil. But such problems are hard to tell without seeing the problem itself. On the channel I have a video with the same box but on a Renault Twingo which also had a very strange problem. But I had to go through it to figure out how to solve it.

    Hello, I want to ask. If the white plastic under the speedometer sensor comes off (minute 1:00), can I install it by pushing it? I've tried pushing it from the speedometer hole, but it seems like it can't move anymore... Thank you very much if you can reply to this message.

    • @the_amateur
      @the_amateur 7 месяцев назад

      Hello! I'm not sure I understand what you mean when you say the white part is out. So I will explain how I interpret the situation and try to answer based on that. If you mean the white part came out of the gearbox for some reason it should in theory be able to go back into place. It's normal that it doesn't go anywhere when you push it because (here comes the weird part) this white part that I call the shaft doesn't actually mount anywhere if I may say so. In practice, this shaft simply rests on the bottom of the box. There is no bed or clip or anything provided for him. It is obtained so that when it rests in the gearbox and is pressed by the sensor above it is fixed in place. The only condition for this to happen is that the shaft fits into the hole of the small brown plastic gear from the video as in this shot : ( ruclips.net/video/_JWP8f1S9ww/видео.html ) . You need to make sure the gear is in place and you can fit the shaft to match. Once you can (I'll tentatively call it) click the shaft into the gear you can mount the speed sensor above them. In order for the shaft to fit into the gear, you need to match the small notches on the tip. And at the top end to fit the square hole with that of the speed sensor. This part is from memory not sure about it but if I am correct you will only be able to put the sensor back in place when the shaft (white part) is also in place. I mean the sensor clips fit into the holes. I hope you get what I'm trying to say the way I explained it.

    Hey man a I have a piaggio typhoon 50 2t that wont start there is spark and fuel what should I do?

    • @the_amateur
      @the_amateur 7 месяцев назад

      Hi, I don't know where to start. To begin with, having fuel and spark is not enough because the ratio is also important, especially if there is too much fuel it may not ignite. If for some reason say the fuel valve did not close while the engine was at rest and the engine was flooded with fuel it will not start. If the muffler or air filter is clogged it won't start either. It matters at what moment the spark appears and whether there is no mechanical damage that would change the moment of ignition. In the engine, there must be metal plates under the cylinder that need to move and if they block it will not work either. The spark plug, even if it has a spark, may be worn out and practically unable to ignite the fuel. And last but not least, it matters if there is compression and in what condition the engine is. There are too many things that can cause a problem and I can't give a definite answer to this question. It could be something simple or it could be a serious problem. Hope you find a solution to the problem.

      @the_amateur 7 месяцев назад

      Hi, unfortunately this is not enough I don't think it will start. The engine will have to be rebuilt. Of course, there may be another problem, but definitely the engine should be restored, and in case it doesn't work, look for what else it could be. But I think once you restore it, it will most likely work again.

    • @the_amateur
      @the_amateur 8 месяцев назад

      Unfortunately, they are increasingly hard to find and their prices have skyrocketed. But with luck, cars can be found at prices in the order of 2,000 euros or 3,000 dollars. But rather, as an exception, the prices are much higher. Accordingly, they will not be in very good condition. The prices of the better cars are quite a bit higher.
