Love Greenwood...not the vanilla boring vibes of this video.
loool this is such lazy content. its hands off the wheel ai content. "how can i put out videos and grow a channel without doing any work". didnt even check the video once its done, just uploaded it -which couldve been automated too lol. cringe THUMBS DOWN NOT INTERESTED DON'T RECOMMEND CHANNEL
What a shit video.
AI crap video
this video sucks. not only is it ai and not really say anything it's also misleading and leaves out other important information regarding the topic
Is this AI
yeah. it spends way too much time describing the appearance of guitars and stuff. also he brought up an explorer which only really christian used and that was only during the link era and the flying v was only used very rarely, most notably on the solo on the chant
and they didn't one mention that they record a good portion of their songs using fender telecasters with single coils which is one of the most distinctive parts of their sound
Bro what the fuck is this edit? Two songs at the same time?
The Rat is his most important pedal. It is where his percussive palm muting sound comes from.
Great content
Thanks!
I still think the Boss MT2 Metal Zone is the best pedal for copying their sound
What about the TanabeTv Pedal "Santanabe" or the Missing Link Audio Pedal "Supernatural" ???
Most of this wasn't on his "RIG RUNDOWN" where did you got this info?
These are pedals that he used at different times throughout his career, so many wouldn't be listed in his current gear rundown.
Which is the song in the video?
Early Priest, probably from the 3rd or 4th record. Can't remember exactly.
@@effectspedalcentral Are you shure? It doesn't sound like a priest song... I really don't know.
so whats the effect that sound on my way's bridge? Its like a vibrato with delay and reverb obviously, is the vibrato a chorus?
Check out the ibanez cf-7 tone lok. Its a secret weapon of his along with the qtron, though from what I remember its just the cf7 in chorus mode and with krazy set to wacked with delay and verb.
I just wanted to know Toms pedals but ended up walking away with way more knowledge about pedals in general thank you this vid kicked ass! ❤❤❤
Thanks!
An SG sounds no more agressive than any other electric guitar. The SG is a guitar favored by heavy guitarists probably for its hot rod looks.
Well this seems to be made by AI.
The same way content creators have to disclose "Paid Promotion" or "Product Provided" it should have to be disclosed when a video is created by AI. Most creators are already ignored by the algorithm. This just further stacks the deck against them
ist the fuzz pedal for the intro live sound of anxiety?
Yes I believe so.
This info needs to be updated.
Thought he was more about the mesa amp, turn it up, mids on full, and bingo.
supposedly now he does Not use Mesa any longer ...using Bludo amps ?? and maybe Dumble ? not 100% sure
Gracias Santana es mi favorito
did you forget scars of broadway?
Also for the Flanger it would be the MXR Flanger/Doubler not the one you listed
When did dime use the fuzz?
what does he use for gate
Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor
Thanx 👏
I recently saw a reddit comment about "Acoustics with OD/Dist is insanely cool" and proceeded to show that user Billy Strings and blow his lil mind for once and for all.. dude became a hard fan that week and we talk about it a lot - Thanks for this GREAT video, it's such a fun and refreshing take on pedal videos and I love how easy going this is! Cheers!
Thanks!
Rolling Srones, Pixies, Violent Femmes just a few bands that use distorted acoustics to get a different sound
You dont need half of this crap. Les Paul wth a Seymour Duncan DDJ or SH6; Marshall type overdriven amp - crank mids; Boss DD3; Boss BF-2 (white knob); Dunlop 535 (non q) - SUPER IMPORTANT ! ! This is enough to cover 90% of his tones. If possible get a 2nd amp (mesa /diezel/rivera) to fill up the frequencies where the Marshall is missing.
I've never heard "electro-harmonix" pronounced like that before
AI voice perhaps? 🤔🤦♂️
Ive been studying Stephs tone for months now. I mean straight up buying his signature guitars, buying an AxeFx 3 so I could tone match his guitars with what isolated recordings I can find, reading articles, looking at images, watching all of his playthroughs, reading everything on Equipboard, and of course watching RUclips. He's got a secret he's not telling us about because I cant tell you how many weeks I've sat at my computer dialing in tones on my AxeFx. I can get 70% there but theres still something very important I'm missing. And no, it's not double tracking, that's elementary. I know he uses the JCM800, JMP-1, Marshalo 1960 cabs but there is something he's doing that sounds different with his effects chain and I can't figure it out and he won't share.
The player him/herself has a lot to do with it too. The rigs can be identical, but each person will approach playing the guitar differently. In one of my last bands, we had 2 guitarists -- me being one of them. We were double tracking the rhythm parts for a song, me on the left, Dennis on the right. There's 1 spot in 1 song where my guitar track is actually the other guy playing 2 quick "chug chug" notes...because the way his hand hit the strings was the sound we were looking for. Identical signal chains, same guitar, same pick, same everything...but our hands were shaped differently so the performance sounded different. Stef has given away his presets in the past for that same reason: nobody has his hands. The presets and signal paths are only part of the equation. :)
can you do mogwai
Why did bill kill her?
i think these videos would be better/gain more traction if you give examples of him using these effects whether in studio recordings or live!
Wow some cool ofdballs. Z vex Machine is UGly, still have mine but rarely use it, and the MXR blue box tracks horribly … I love it
Ive needed this thank you!! I have a combo amp i edit sounds with alot of pedals downloaded....def a learning experience but yhis helps
we need justin
He’s such a badass guitar player. Love getting peeks at what these guys use!
omg.
It'll be great have a Graham coxon video
Why would anyone want to sound like Slush? Two words for him: Over. Rated.
Sure child. Slash is one of the most influential players in history and has inspired millions around the world for decades now. He’s definitely stamped his time card after nearly four decades and has ZERO to prove to someone who will never in his lifetime come anywhere close to doing what he has accomplished! When you have a record deal, have a hard rock song that charts, hell even right a decent song and be able to actually play it you let me know! Till that day comes I couldn’t give a damn about any of your little opinions.
Siiiiiicccckkk!!!
I have been learning and playing cover songs since before dude ranch, but ive never once tried to “match tones” i just play the songs with how I want my gear to sound. I understand copying peoples riffs, but not their gear
Because people are scared to be original, be themselves. The only thing I've copied from Tom is putting a bridge Invader pickup in my Les Paul II. Can't go past the Invader.
Crazy how many hours of worship meg gave to the Jack for him to suck her dry. SAD. Mothers against drunk driving. Billy corgan??? Poor bass player
Nice,😅 but words are not clear
Or rather, get a multi-FX pedal to get all these and more
Many multi-effects pedals tend to sound more fake and processed than standalone analog stomp boxes.
@@effectspedalcentral Nah, in 2023, that's just a snobbish statement, they sound very well.
@@maximus7288I wouldn’t call someone a snob because they hear the difference between a digital version of an effect or the real pedal. Now THATs snobbish..
@@maximus7288 do you use the multieffect on the whole chain or for the spacialization effects?
this was cool! can you guys please do one on Gran? I gotta understand how this guy getz his tones ruclips.net/video/7GxG_IhgH0I/видео.html CC is English!
This pedal layout is bullshit !!!
First of all, so called "Jack White" is not his real name. There is nothing wrong with his actual birth name, John Anthony Gillis. He obviously "sold out" his birth name because of the shallowness of the entertainment industry?! Most likely the change was made as the result of a greedy Business Manager or Studio, with perceived notions of greater recognition accompanied with monetary gains? Secondly and in reality, it's also shows blatant disrespect for one's parents & their family heritage, just to possibly obtain (not necessarily earn) a greater buck?!
Bruh what
