C-pillar IB Wall with Stereo Integrity 24” Sub

A quick rundown of a “simple” wall build I’m wrapping up in a Ford Edge.
Easiest deadener removal ever.

Had a guy want more sound treatment for his vehicle. I pulled the door cards and started looking at the existing sound treatment. I've said in past videos that I'm not a fan of the all-in-one 3-layer products. At least they're easy to remove.

I’m offering end plates for the SIQ amplifiers. This is a brief introduction to what they are and what they do. If you want some, contact me through the Batdog Garage Facebook page.
Enclosures and Bandwidth

A video for Vernon. He asked about getting more bandwidth in regard to subwoofers so I decided to shoot a video.

Stereo Integrity TM8s and TM65 MkIVs.
Where do I get them?
I want to use these - but my battery terminal is all 5/16 stud, not 3/8 - tempted to try a large washer and see if it works…
you can use the M8 size of the Littelfuse ZCASE SMZ. It's a similar idea, but the fuses are not compatible.
Im in love
what powers the speakers?
I think that was on a 75.4.
What was the hi and lowpass crossover used on the M3's in this video?
They were high-passed at 125Hz on head unit power. No low-pass. The parallel 6th was low-passed at 125Hz and powered by a 3K.
@@BatdogGarage OK, thanks.
Cool product, I have just the application for it. Too bad it’s vaporware. Error 404 on product page and nowhere to be found online.
Can i buy a 3d printer file?
Sorry, not selling the file.
@@BatdogGarage LOL selling plastic and refusing to sell the 3d model. Love it.
@@gearheadtechnology exactly. I designed them and sell parts. I don’t sell the design. Would you ask a speaker company or amp manufacturer for their CNC files?
QUICK QUESTION. I'M TAKING DELIVERY OF THE SI HS-24 FOR MY CAR, BUILDING A CUSTOM SEALED BOX THOUGH WON'T BE THE RECOMMENDED SEALED BOX SIZE WHICH IS 8 CUBIC FEET. MINE WILL PRETTY MUCH ON THE SAFE SIDE BE MORE LIKE 6.5 CUBIC FEET. QUESTION IS, WITH A BALLPARK RANGE, WHAT WOULD U TUNE A SEALED HS-24 TO? IT'LL BE RUNNING AT 3K RMS.
caps lock
also when i recieve it, I will be making video(s) of the build process. stock sound system in car is a Lexicon 17 speaker sound system running at 1036 watts, and I'm only replacing the sub at the moment.
@@BerettaBoom Adding polyfill will work. You can also grab some bed pillows and throw in.
Man thank you so much for doing this series. I have learned so much about deadening and the techniques. Simple , straightforward, and pro level information broken down to the layman level. Can't thank you enough. I am building a 2006 Scion xB out for loud sq as a daily driver. This knowledge will make the difference.
22:00 I think an impact drive would work a lot better for that. The cost of this would be ridiculous, but I'd like to do a version of this. I don't get why there isn't some sort of box system that you can add to the door speaker.
Appreciate the video love and enjoy seeing jl hit decent numbers.
So, should i buy it or not? 😂
you still selling these? Would love a set for two amps
You are an excellent teacher
Wow, never seen such thorough car door insulation. Have you ever considered making a before and after comparison of how it plays/sounds? Ex: the left door completely stock, vs the right door with all the sound deadening but with the stock speakers?
This was beautiful my friend I want to now cut out my trunk floor too 🥲
Another consideration. Since the sub is in a sealed cavity, it's like taking an upside down glass and submerging it in water. The water is displaced by the air in the cavity. So even "IF" you submerged the car in water, I'd bet the sub wouldn't get wet. Even if water did get by the mesh and screen it would air dry quickly after. Could just bump the sub to push the moisture out too lol
I trust u 21 seconds n, seeing that prolly split bumper!!!
I wish i could fit these in a 1998 Trans am, id run them with no hesitation
They make 6.5s to, they only play like 10hz higher on the low end.
@@goyslop4289 yeah i know about those. I just love using 8" drivers
I didn't know where to ask this question, so I thought I'd put it on the newest video, which is pretty cool by the way. Do you have a particular playlist? If so could you share it?

I’ve had this thing for 2yrs in my 2000 camaro and it’s still going I love it
Now that I think of it. I bought my Escalade new and I noticed on a number of occasions I would hit a pretty go bump and the sound would change. It would seem a lot fuller. The dealer told me it was just the HD fading in and out which I have noticed; but, this seems odd that it coincides with a significant bump to the vehicle. To me it really seemed like it would be more of a loose connection or defect in the system?
This guy with the Escalade is lucky he found you. I just stumbled on your video I was so impressed with the first few minutes I watched the whole video (which was very well done) only because I have an 2016 Escalade and was looking for a video on the door panel removal. I am your next new subscriber. Great job!!! You are a master of you craft.
Why the wire from the battery to the alternator???
He would just need to show the judge your video!!
Awesome video!!!! This poor guy needs to have you finish the job the right way and take the bill and file a small claims suit against them!!!!
Plasma?
Super cool.
I'm curious how it sounds with the back gate closed. I assume it would be tuned higher. Or is it playable at all?
You didn’t say when you added the hardener into mix
Ohhh yeah! 😊
Wow what a horrible install so instead of running the power wire down the frame like it should be they pushed the stock grommet out and didn’t run new speaker wires that shop should fire the installers that did this and refund him half his money
On my bucket list is to one day drop off my car and equipment and say work your magic young man! Incredible work as always Jason!
So how much power do you need to play 30Hz and up in sealed box? Or ported?
Looks fantastic 👌 👍 😀
I wish I could to that acrylic on my install, it sweet! Is it visible on the front as well?
You won’t see the acrylic from the front due to the sub.
Looks super sick!
Not sure how I missed this video, yours especially are packed with actionable info. Im still researching more pros/cons between parallel vs series 6th orders. Any builds with the BM-11?
Come on now, you've got enough room to fit two of those bad boys! Lol.
The owner only had one sub. 😂
Absolutely amazing!!!! LUVVITT!
I need a 24” cargo light in my life🤩
Nice great idea with the light it just brings out so much detail also I won my car show door battle thanks for the tune
IB 24 Club FOR THE WIN !!!!!!
"One 24 in IB, C-Pillar wall, 'cause that's what you need". Yes, it's what we all need, but only a few are brave enough to be that crazy.
Never gets old. I've said it before - some of the most underrated videos on car audio installation. Thanks for sharing!
I need these.
Fast enough for cartels 😂
I love your work, I'm following this build, and I know the owner was cool with this, but that right there is why I never take my cars in for service. I had bad experiences when I was younger of a dealership racing my car, steeling stuff out of it, and nothing I could do about it. Looks like you have a great client to work with on this one, I cant wait to see how it turns out.
I jokingly told him that I had to test the 0-60 and 1/4 mile feature on the new head unit. "Hell yeah! Lowest score wins!" 😀 His rule? I couldn't "cheat" by switching to E85 and using the E85 tune to log a run. 😂 Super cool dude.
boy ur so fast u lost a pillar plastic cover
😀 This was a quick video for the owner. It went to exhaust and he wanted to know if the exhaust whistle it had prior was still there. Also checked out the 0-60 and 1/4 feature on the head unit.
Funnily enough that part has a recall. Something about faulty clips may cause it to fall off randomly.
@@Benni711 that’s on the exterior from what I’ve read.
