This is an evolving RUclips channel that I'm trying to develop, to help others learn what Knowledge I've accrued, before I shuffle off. Hopefully, that won't be for a long time, so meanwhile, I have plenty to teach.
These little tricks that I have learned along the way, might be of use to others, as it is becoming increasingly hard to find anyone who is prepare to freely give away their knowledge, or to find that knowledge at all.
Also, once I have time to learn how to; I will start a Blog, so you can all follow, for the same purpose.
From time to time, because I have a tendency digress somwhat, and even playing the Devil's advocate on occasion, I might talk about unrelated topics that I feel, might be of additional use to the developing mind, or even generate debate, but the content of such topics might be only my view, and should not necessarily be taken as fact (unless stated as such), or entirely correct.
Wish me luck.... I'm going to need it.

Alfa Romeo Giulietta Heater flaps test.
After a very frustrating A/C failure, during which I have changed what was most obvious.... the Air Conditioning Compressor. Obvious in that the Clutch had collapsed, and the Electromagnet was open circuit, and finally, the Climate control Electrovalve was dead shorted (0 Ohms).
A learned friend of mine, plugged in his Scanner, and concluded that there was an open circuit in the Heater Flap motor.
So; having come across Mr. Daniel Van Der Hoorne's video; I decided to try this test, before ripping the dash to bits, in an effort to safe going to a lot of trouble, for no result.
I still don't have the A/C working, but I thought this might help others.

We don't get very big Hail here; but when we get Hail, we get a lot. Funny thing is; it was 24⁰C here, 2 days ago. At the time of this video; it was 8⁰C, and it's the middle of Spring, here.

2006 Diesel Hilux, EGR fault, error code (P0400).

Ah! Now I remember! Customer reported Engine light on, and a P9400 error code (EGR not receiving expected exhaust flow). This doesn't mean it's necessarily the EGR that's faulty. Rather, it could be a number of reasons that could cause this. When I flattened the Accelerator, the Engine only revved to about 2 grand (probably in Limp Mode), but it smelled like it like it was running really rich.....

Including unboxing, and uprighting and roughly sorting all pieces first (which took the best part of half of an hour) in total, took 7 hrs., 20 minutes. approximately; over about 7 days. On some Excavators, there is only one circuit, that for reasons of economy at production level, is designed to be necessary to restrict the flow back to tank on one side of the circuit, so as to enable the circuit to be pressurised in either direction. Aquasearch, SPT hammer.

First try out, for SPT on Aquasearch Drill rig. Sharing Sludge Pump circuit, but not happy with result. Don't have proper control of Sludge Pump, and I think the flow rate from thus circuit is way too fast, as I only have the flow control (needle valve) cracked about half a turn.
Harmonic Balancer / Crank shaft repair.

Repair carried out to a Crank shaft, after Harmonic Balancer retaining Nut came loose, and flogged out the Shaft and keyway.

I haven't been to see the MotoGP for a few years now, and to see the difference in the speed of these guys going into turn one, is simply astounding. Hitting about 350 kph now, and hardly backing off at all until they reach the other apex. WOW!
I have a '04 Case tractor. When I attempt to use the tractor mower I will engage the pto but after mowing about 2 feet distance the pto will disengage. Drives me nuts and I don't know what's wrong. Any idea?
Assuming your PTO is engaged with a cable control; it is likely that the cable it maladjusted, and not fully engaging. This would result in the gears "walking off" one another. Make sure the cable is adjusted so that there is still enough movement in the lever, such that it is noticeable that your lever isn't sunning out of travel.

I discovered that it was a retaining clip from the Injector pump Governer to its controller, that had worn through and fallen off. I fashioned a temporary fastener to do the job, until the OEM part arrived.
Just inherited one. Cleaning it up at the moment. Any manuals available?
I don't have one, but I'm sure you can find one on line. I think I was able to find one for the guy who bought mine.

Can also reduce pully on alternater to charge at lower rpms..
One must be careful not to increase the speed of the Alternator, such that it might over-spin and self-destruct.

I worked on a new one of those, what luxury! perhaps there is a brake that needs adjusting to make gear changing easier.
Just ignore the apparent incorrect rotation. Strobing affect in play. 😂
Replace your battery, the charger is ok
Thanks mate, but I wasn't looking for help. However, the Customer put a new battery in, and he wondered why it was still going flat. The problem was, that he uses the lights quite a bit, but leaves the engine idling too long. So the lights are drawing more than what the (in this case) Generator can put out. So I told him to keep the revs up, when he is using the lights, as the charge rate is proportional to the revs. Nevertheless; thanks for trying to help. Cheers!

sick lathe I want one for my shop
OMG such a great find. I just could not get the cover off of this 700. So all I did was turn the adjustment out a bit and it idles now. But the positive cables must have gotten hot in its past life and kept clicking with nothing showing on the dash. It all works now and just waiting on the axle to show up.
Don't you just love RUclips. Glad this helped you. Polaris Servicemen must be pissed at me though. one hour service charge for 30 seconds of work. Oops!
Muffler off a FJR1300 motorcycle. J type gear box with overdrive in 3rd and 4th. Internal gears changed to high ratio to suit Australian highway conditions. Sits on 110kph at 2700rpm

Okay! And you obviously can't read!! Read again, the bit about the dislodged magnet, and then think about the start-up process. Meanwhile; as your parents why they didn't bother to teach you any manners. Also; ask your Teachers, why they didn't educate you properly. How do you expect me to take your comments seriously, when you have displayed nothing but bad manner, ignorance and a lack of education.

Yours looks very similar, almost exactly like mine, but not entirely. Controls are different and there is no small plastic insert in the middle of the table...
