Instead of gluing on the rubber bands I would recommend hooking them in When I made my 1911 it lasted longer when it was hooked and I didn’t have to make as many repairs

This is an amazing tutorial, but the bending part with the strips of cardboard I recommend getting a box cutter, and instead of bending it cut, really slight slits down the middle diagonally not enough force to completely cut it, but rip the first layer, and then when you’re done for the first strip kind of like 3-D printed stuff, stretch it out a little bit and bend it, and it will look much cleaner than just bends
