I fell asleep to this song from another video, and Emil visited my dream. Like a friend long returned to say hello again. The dream wasn't anything serious, he was helping me find sheet music outside of a orchestra. But when I woke up I felt so sad since he was gone after the dream was over. I don't even know why, I hadn't played the game for a while and this happened. I looked up the song to help get the melody out of my head and this song couldn't have been more beautifully made. This song always makes me think of a child singing the song of a hero that always saves the day, no matter the crisis, no matter how dark the day, that hero comes shining through. The child has faith the hero will come again now, and they are coming... but they won't make it in time... they WILL fail, and the pain of that will resonate with the hero for years to come. When the Automata version hits and the chorus songs those first notes of the hero's song, that pang of tragedy hits the hero again, only this time, they WILL make it. The stronger drums, the horns, and the bridge with the woman singing sounds like a prayer from the hero that this time they'll make it; this time, no one is going to suffer. Their heart, pounding in their chest, can't take another defeat like before.
