guys idk what happened my phone brought me here
Lopez Edward Smith Christopher White Barbara
I had the privilege to go to the camp this year and record "At The Door" truly a magical experience
Anybody know if I can get the sheet music for this? I’m getting my band director on this for sure.
I CAN'T DO THIS NO MORE!!!
didnt know micheal j fox (guy on bottom right for most of the video) has a son in the bluecoats
The chord at 1:27 is 👌
Absolutely amazing!
Beautifully played!!
My band won state with this song
Man trumpets really dominate dang
This year our highschool played this and we won state with it
what school
Hi guys, need some understanding here. I'm from Brazil. We just have marching bands down here as part of school activity for those interested. Your Drum Corps are another level, pro indeed. What are the requirements to be part of an audition like that and what are the benefits for the musician ( besides being called a bluecoat ) since you work a lot for the results? Thanks in advance.
The music was great but I wanna know how the first Mello closest to the camera has such a snatched waist
The one guy in the audience nodding his head with each step of the crescendo at 1:08 is literally me every time I hear this opener. Just hearing this made me want to do DCI
I just imagine everyone there thinking: this is it, I've made it. My dreams are coming true if all goes well. All of that hard work for this: and I'll make it. I'll finally have somewhere to be free. Might be overreacting, but I guess that could just be me 😅
I've slept in that gym!
Can you don't??
having grown up in a die hard drum corps household I miss those days dearly...to much has changed in the last 30 years for me to still be a die hard fan. there should not be any electronics, amplification, performers not marching ( i.e The Pit) or goofy stage props etc...go watch 1970's drum corps!
Damn that sounds really good for a first camp and a weekend of practice
I love Creep and I love Radiohead. It would be awesome if my school band played it but we would be so bad. I feel like most of the kids there don’t really care :/ Hopefully it will get better when I go to marching band next year…
I got the news that my marching band is getting to play this the upcoming season. I know we’re not ANYTHING CLOSE to dci, but dang this is an amazing piece of music and I’m so freaking exciting.
There's something about a "hobby" that involves giving it everything you have, and then 10% more. The Bluecoats are one of drum corps' premier organizations. Making the cut to become a part of the corps is a many a musician's dream. Lots of luck to all you prepare for the 2022 competing season!
The rude cook suggestively push because sweater routinely disapprove over a early drum. black-and-white, satisfying element
i would give literally anything to be in this room. i get goosebumps every song time i watch this video. these videos make me want to quit percussion just to be able to march a brass instrument
What a banger
holy moly
THE ARANGEMENT
the brass i'm in love... !
WOW
I played this for my marching show..
Wonderful, but oh my EARS, they are hurting just listening to this recording ! I'm an old guy that had the chance to audition on tuba/sousaphone for the 18th Army band back in '73. Didn't quite make it through a solo, one on one audition with the music director, a REAL acid test for sure. Miss those days marching and concerts with the highschool band.
🍀🎶🍀
My high school just played this this year in our show
Beautiful performance but... (to the conductor) how about conducting it like it should be conducted, not in a marching style, but in an concert/orchestral style. I so much would like the ending tempo to be much much slower, and stretch, stretch, stretch, beat 4 to bring tension/resolve to the music. Conducting it and playing it with your "steady" pulse, in my opinion robbed all of what could have been a very, moving performance. Just my 2 cents... band director/conductor for 32 years. Aloha!
This season we had like 5 out of 7 bands in our flight play this or variations of this. Let’s just say it this was stuck in my head for a while
Never gets old. Great job all of you
so all these people audition together?
This is more like a camp that teaches you the audition material. Auditions are done through videos and have multiple stages.
This songgggg I love it so muchhh :((((
Do they have woodwinds?
🗿
our band plays this as a warmup chorale and even our dinky marching band gives me chills every time
Tbh every time I hear DCI play this even years after I was obsessed w DCI in high school it makes me tear up
This is a perfect song to show range and power. I hear the screamer @1:28!!! 🔥🔥🔥
i love the part when the rest of the hornline sings with the tubas
See I'm just distracted by that mellaphone
This!
Meilleur drums corps
The silence at 1:41 into the final light "i don't belong here" was absolutely beautiful ♥
cool to see Prismo's a corps fan.
Was this past members too?
MarkB everyone who was auditioning for a spot, including returning members
I really want to join a drum corp, but I would have to learn another instrument. I’m a bassoonist, had to learn tenor sax to march (currently a junior in hs) and if I want to ever join a Corp, I’ll have to learn another instrument, probably baritone bc that was what I was going to play before I fell in love with Bassoon.
And very expensive
