Fender Telecaster FMT HH a Tone Machine
100% right!
You gotta play authentic...lol so fender
So far, I've only got one Sire - the T7 - and that thing is ridiculously good. It just does the Tele thing perfectly. Has compensated brass saddles, roasted maple neck, locking tuners, gorgeous fit and finish, etc. etc. Less than $500 bucks from Thomann! Now I'm itching for an LP, so Sire is definitely at the top of my list.
I've got 8 Gibson USA guitars, a Heritage H-150 Std., and 2 Eastmans (an SB59 and a T-484), plus another Eastman SB59 being delivered today. The Eastmans are every bit as good and perhaps in some ways better than the Gibson or the Heritage. I'm still a Gibson guy at heart and if I only had one guitar, it would be a Gibson Les Paul, but Eastmans are kinda their own thing and are quite special. I was skeptical until I tried one, but I am now a believer.
I have no experience with the custom shop version, but my 2019 SG Special in aged Pelham blue is such a joy to play and gorgeous to look at. It's also the most resonant guitar I own. I couldn't be happier with it considering the price which was very affordable at the time. It's a pro instrument through and through. Custom Shop is wonderful but for those who hesitate to buy a Gibson USA SG Special for fear of it not being "good enough", let me tell you they are fantastic.
This guitar has 15' radius neck. Fender should have more guitars like this.
@AlphaRay-h9n indeed, I dont see anyone mentioning this on the reviews and it makes a huge difference for the player
Thank you, good review ❤
what were the QC problems?
compensated brass saddles on the sire
Played this, as well as expensive "perfect" semis from FGN, all this "Gibson killer" guitars. They are good. Then switched to a real Les Psul. Different animal. Plus, try to sell an Eastman, FGN. Good luck. Stick to the real thing.
Hello my friend , only one correction about fingerboard , the wood is Bubinga , exactamente Bubinga . 🫡😉👌🏼😄
eastman owner here too sir! i have a juliet, that sb 59 looks and sounds great, i want to get a sb57 in the future hopefully...great rendition of ziggy stardust :) have a sub my fellow guitarist
Gibson have many massed produced issues but they charge four times the price of the Sire.
I have one, it’s my favourite guitar ❤️
The 2 outstanding Eastmans, better than Gibson, the SB59 and the T486. Got them both, before the big price increases, even got the now not available Gold Top! Bloody magnificent guitars. Hint, overwrap the 59, it really comes alive. Going to put a set of Bryan Williams Pagey Double neck pups in, these things are spectacular, and of course 50's wiring. The 486 is awesome, just as it is. Sadly Eastman are now not the bargain they were. Although the 59tv is close, it is custom shop, heritage level, for half to third the price.
STILL 20 frets?? "Pro"// LOL!! The Dimension was the ISH!! and WHAT did they DO?? LOL!! It's Called "MARKETING"!!"
I just cant buy this guitar without the pickguard, it doesnt look right. Why dont they add one?
This was a quality review. This man knows what’s up! That single finger picking style yields a really good, even tone. Also liked hearing the bass in a mix.
@@daveanderson3714 thank you for watching the video
A VERY GOOD AMP ( AFTER ALL IT'S AN AMPEG ) BUT IT'S NOT PERFECT...IT DOES NOT HAVE COMPRESSOR OR LIMITER...IT DOES NOT HAVE CHORUS OR REVERB OR ANY OTHER MODULATION EFFECTS...PLUS IT'S A LITTLE BIT HEAVY FOR MY TASTE...
The SG special is Robbie Krieger and the Doors. That's it. The P90s shine like no other.
Let’s not forget Tony Iommi
Great video. I have a 2016 model with the older tailpiece, but otherwise the same. Great demo.
*I bought the Session HT in Aztec Red. It was much lighter than Fender's offerings in the same price range. I did have the luxury of buying the guitar in the store here in Ontario, Canada. There were no set up issues. Except for the 10's on the guitar. My preference is 9-46.* 😉 *The guitar punches above its weight....or lack of weight. It has seen many gigs now and compliments my G&L S-500 nicely.*
I still have the original black one made in Japan. I will never part with it :)
i love PJ pickups and especially love the greasebuckets! didn't know they made this model. glad you did the review. seems like this one is more lightweight than most p basses too.
Thanks for the overview. I've been having a hard time finding out what all the differences of the new models are. I knew about the bridge and truss rod, but not about the neck profile. I've got the Geddy Lee Jazz bass which has a "thin C shape" if the Ric's neck is anything like that, I think I'll like it
Sure wish I could get my Ampeg to vibrate like that on them E's.
such a great and thoughtful comparison, thank you for having this video.
Thank you very much.
Bought one this year 🎸🎶
Just got a gold burst T484 from Sweetwater a few days ago and I can wholeheartedly say that the hype about them is real. I have a number of Gibson USA guitars and a Heritage, and while they are very nice instruments (haven’t tried a Gibson Custom Shop yet), the Eastman is without a doubt the most perfectly crafted guitar I have personally owned and the setup out of the box is spot on. The case is one of the nicest I’ve seen, too. I love my Epiphone ES339, but the Eastman T484 is on a whole other level. It’s definitely a long term keeper. Might have to check out an SB56 or SB59 some time.

Great sounding bass. Back in the day, late 1970's, I had a P bass with a Bad Ass Bridge. I thought it was great. Then at some point, they made the Bad Ass 2, which was on the Lee bass. I tried to find out if you can get new BA 2 bridges and discovered you can't. I believe they stopped making them. The Geddy Lee bridge sounds fantastic.
my eye caught your video when you mentioned sire I recently bought a sire but it's like the Stratocaster copy I've never even played a Stratocaster, I don't know what they really play like but I'm very happy with this guitar for under $400 it is awesome!
Did I miss him talk about the fingerboard radius? Is it 15”?
The neck on the fender isn't centered. Hopefully it didn't leave the factory that way...
Help me...What song is playing at the beginning? Something from Bruce Springsteen?
It’s actually not really a song. I’m just messing around in Em. During the sound sample I’m playing an old Smithereens song. Thank you for watching the video
Im looking to qet the Sire.
Awesome !! Thanks a lot !! The custom is wonderful!!
fire brother. Waiting on mine to arrive. Picked up the roland katana amp to pair with it. Thanks for the video
I don’t know what you’re all smoking… the sire sounded awful compared with the fender to me. It’s actually sounded like there was something seriously wrong it it
I definitely want to try one of these
Took me 8 other bass cover videos until I finally found one that nailed the right line and the right feel. Especially in the chorus. You nailed it
I got the black beauty 😍 and absolutely love it😊
It looks like fender made a PRS ?
I'm looking for this type of amp to play in my small living room. Is the power not too strong so as not to disturb the neighbors? I'm hesitating with a Vox Super Beetle Bass
I've actually been using this amp at band practice and its actually louder than what I first thought. It's a powerful little amp and depending on how much you push it you may get a knock on the door from the neighbors. Thank you for watching the video
I got the sparkling burgundy version. It's got balls and it's so much fun to play. This is also my first p90 guitar. Great tone.
Did you play some Neurtal Milk Hotel there or was that just a coincidence? 😊
I bought an SB59 from the same store and mine is almost identical. Great store and great service. I've owned a few Gibsons and never bonded, but this SB59 is a keeper.
Love the intro! Fly by Night!!!
I love PRS, and have several, but I love my Eastman guitars more. Much like in the video, the PRS sound a bit thinner and more compressed, while the Eastman sound more open, warmer, and richer, with great overtones.
I have an old 2005 one and a 2022 one and they are great.
