In the business world, "value" refers to the monetary, material, or assessed worth of an asset, good, or service. It is a central concept that can be attached to various aspects such as shareholder value, the value of a firm, fair value, and market value¹. Here are some key points about value in business: - **Monetary Worth**: Value can represent the financial performance of a company or the worth of an asset. - **Valuation**: The process of calculating and assigning a value to a company or an asset is known as valuation. This can be done through various methods, including market capitalization, earnings multipliers, or book value¹. - **Investment Decisions**: Value is crucial for investors and analysts when making investment decisions. It helps determine whether a company's stock is fairly valued, undervalued, or overvalued compared to its current stock price¹. - **Market Value**: This is the value of a company as perceived by market participants and is often synonymous with market capitalization, which is the share price multiplied by the total number of outstanding shares¹. - **Book Value**: This is the value of a company according to its financial statements, representing the net assets remaining if all obligations were settled¹. Understanding value is essential for various business activities, including mergers and acquisitions, establishing partner ownership, taxation, and even divorce proceedings. It's both an art and a science, as it involves using formal models and subjective judgment to estimate the fair market value of a business². Thanks for sharing this heartfelt Deaf Dad moment. I am so glad you and your kids had this positive experience of full access. As a coda I have seen how difficult it is for deaf people to be consistently excluded from family events and communication and I am working to change this. Also appreciate your other posts sharing the joys and challenges of being a Deaf Dad, I know it ain't easy!

The staffs seem not know how to deal with deafs and assume we might be blind or dumb since some keep talking to me and I keep point my ears broke in gestures and they keep talking miles either they dumb af or ignorance in a way just say my opinion
Your video is vague in terms of what you do exactly, who is the company you're working for or if you're a solo business owner - who are you conversing with or serving for. Need more clarity in what you do exactly.
Hello! Sorry for the late response on this since I am just seeing this just now. At the time of this video, I was working from home as a manager for a social services. Earlier in the video, I was having a conversation with the interpreters before we jumped into a meeting with the other managers and directors. Hope this clears things up for you!
@@jordansangalang Thanks for the clarification. :)
@@aslmastertutor1670 No problem!
I was checking out some channels as I typically do on the weekends and I decided to take a stop on your channel. I really like the content you have going on, I wanted to stop by and show some support, one creator to another I know the support isn't always there. I hope you keep posting the content and keep up the great work!
A long due response to your comment here. Thanks for your support! 😁

This has only happened to me in a movie theater....did you tell them at all?? #educattheworld
Samantha Sewell Oh yes, we did after this. Clearly, education and awareness is needed for them to learn how to make appropriate accommodations.
🤦🏼♀️ That's all I have to say.
Laura 🤭
that is super cool mate
Your ASL is so fluid, I'm envious! What do I do with my money? Invest in Ponzi schemes. But seriously, I try to invest it in adventure/creating good memories eg. trips overseas, outdoor gear (for camping/cycling/climbing). I know I'd appreciate these memories more than, "Well, I had a nice house and sweet threads." Honestly, I don't invest much of it for the future. My mom was so big on that, but she passed away at the age of 58 and therefore did not get to enjoy the comforts her RRSP would have brought her. This is why I'm so hesitant to give up a part of my youth for a future that is not guaranteed. Is this something you see a lot or am I an outlier?
Hi Laura, thanks for commenting on my ASL fluidity. I intend on making more videos every week! Just be sure your screen is cleaned up well with windshield washer fluids to ensure my videos are fluid in ASL. Okay, I digress. Thanks for the kind comment! In regards to your question and comment about investments, it's unfortunate your mother was not able to enjoy the comforts of her RRSP when she passed. So, I see why you're hesitant to taking a similar path. In your case, it's not uncommon people would be hesitant to invest into RRSP or "the future". In other words, this is something I see a lot with people not taking this route. There are options people can choose from to invest into and, more importantly, to protect their assets. This is something I will be discussing about in soon!
Welcome back to YouToob!
Thanks, Laura!
