I remember visiting King Island in 1995 as a 12(almost 13) year old with my Mum, Dad and Grandmother. It was quite a fun experience, we ate steak every night for the four nights we spent there. We rented a car and drove all over the island. It was nice family time in an age of no social media.Never got any lamingtons, but got a sausage roll at the bakery. Sadly, my Grandmother passed away in 2001 and my Mum passed away late last year, we showed the photo of the four of us in King Island at Mum's funeral.

As a twelve year old kid in the early 90s, this was literally the ONLY fishing content we had on TV in Australia. I would go to Blockbuster to rent fishing videos, just so I could see content like this!! Kids these days just can't grasp how great it was to see Rex bring in ANY fish. I'm now in my mid 40s, and I still have VHS recordings of Rex in my garage. He was part of my upbringing, and I hope more kids these days can appreciate the art of fishing the way I have. Thanks Rex ❤

Beautiful to watch your videos, im the only person who copies you still rex, since childhood, i adore all the videos, what a great man... :) ☺️😊 i used to kiss all my fish and put them back when i used to fish alot, english fishing childhood 💪 my favorite fisherman of all time. Ive been chasing down my childhood, based on the current circumstances in the world 🫣 Alots changed, in general. Great work rex, things will never be as good again. You couldnt ask for a better fisherman, ect... endless amounts of a person.

Caught heaps of Tandanus. Pretty good eating but the skin will irritate your hands if you clean too many. Best way to catch them is the old way.
