Snowblower attached to a Suzuki Carry project
Просмотров 2,3 тыс.4 года назад
Made a snowblower attachment for my Suzuki mini truck. Bought a used 60” Concord blower attachment off a 0 turn lawnmower, put a Harbor Freight 670cc Predator motor ( bought with coupon). The blower attaches in under 5 minutes to my rear receiver via trailer type tongue on the blower that goes under the truck. The rest of the attachments are a winch cable and a couple of quick connectors. Will ...

Suzuki Carry Mini Truck plowing snow
Bought one of these in 1972. Made in Italy. It's been completely rebuilt and is still around. They were geared to do 40 MPH but with only 65cc and 3 gears it was a struggle to get there. Had to slip the clutch excessively from a standing start because the 1st gear ratio was so high. They needed 4 gears or better yet 5.
How did you do the crank predator is 3/4 shaft the Briggs is 7/ to 1 inch tapered
Cut off the tapered adapter & 1:56 Welded in a 3/4 shaft adapter … all worked great until he sucked up a big chunk of wood… broke the crankshaft off the Predator. I put a Briggs snowblower motor on it.
Send it.👍😎
Sweet setup brother.👍😎
Thank you, on a year it hasn’t snowed in Minnesota 🤷🏼♂️
I've got an 88 DB71T. Swapping out the F5A engine for a brand new F8A engine as soon as it warms up enough. Just staring at it in my garage is killing me.👍 I'll post videos of the swap.
I would be interested in that.. 15 years I’ve been driving the F5A with 28” tires… I sure would like more power.
What is the ratio of fuel to oil mix, do you fill the cup up full 3x per gal? Do you fill ceankcase with oil, or no?
No oil in the crankcase but there is oil in the gearbox.
You have the plans for the dump?
Sorry, only in my head…
Gonna guess the original briggs had that stupid plastic timing gear that fails at like 15 hours...mine did...ended up having to buy a new crankshaft kit vs buying a whole new engine
It came without a engine. If I bought the original style Briggs I would never get my $ back out
Hey my friend, having worked in the four-wheel-drive industry for many years! Please rebuild that entire front steering drop system that is some junkyard booger welded crap. Doesn't even look structurally right to me! If you did that I'm sorry I can barely hear your audio on this! But that thing is not setup right I bet there's a whole bunch of monks tear in it as well good luck my friend
Volume with all the way up and I still cannot hear the commentator about the truck
I'm going to question that vin
Yep, I found out the door was replaced.
Hey boss, I own a snow removal company and am looking into building one of these units. Would you recommend this over a blade? (I'm in Manitoba, Canada)
I still use both. The blower works well in places where there is limited places to put snow. End of the season here in MN the piles get high, it is nice to send it over these piles.
Would have been nice how it worked with more snow. The 2 or 3" didnt convince me. Thank you for the time and video.
22hp… I can send whatever I want into the neighbors yard.. only limitation I found is uneven gravel driveway it wants to dig in..
This is a pretty cool setup for a homeowner. This would be awesome for a commercial driveway snow removal operation if the blower was 7 ft or larger and there was a second engine in the bed to hydraulicly drive the blower.
For a 23hp twin that thing is pretty weak.
Negative… can put all the snow in my neighbors driveway if I wanted.. seriously ❄️❄️
The custom lift was very well done 👍. I’m curious how it performed off road, these climbers do amazing on hill sides have you done any aggressive inclines with it?
Love buying Christmas wreaths from the Boy Scouts & Christmas Trees from the Sea Scouts as well :)
🤥
I’ll take that as a compliment… I’ve never paid full price $$$$$ at a swap meet🧑🔧
@@ktcopyguy I was being sarcastic. Really Im jealous! That was my 1st bike. Mine was a 76. I was 8 at the time. Would sure like to find one.

Looks nice- What motor in this truck- What paint did use?
* 330 2V M/D…. Theses are the engines offered … FT engines (330 2V M/D - 330 2V H/D - 361 2V - 391 4V) introduced in 1964 .. used thru 1978...so any of these could also be found in 500/750 series trucks. I sprayed Omni paint on 1 fender only, it was found shiny red. Clear coat is coming off the hood now.
Do you still have this truck please comment back thank you
Yep… for the past 15 years
Your ADF is broken from lifting it buy the top and not the actual flatbed part. You have to replace the ADF.
Here's a low speed crash test against another vehicle your the crumple Zone ruclips.net/video/roLcNwRi1Sk/видео.html You're actually safer on a motorcycle. If you own one of these and want to drive around it's fine your put your own life at risk but taking a passenger you are putting there lives in jeopardy.
I only use it off road, much safer then a side by side…
I love the tires on this truck what are they
Audio sucks. Can hear little.
How did you make the PTO?
I have John Deere 111 lawn tractor PTO clutch for the mower deck on it.
6" lift seems like it doesn't sit higher than my 3" lift on my 93 carry... regardless, that looked like a ton of work. To much for my skill level.
I need to let air out of my tires to get it out of the garage..
I just got a 96 Suzuki Carry with a plow. Thanks for posting this.
Looks like it’s in desperate need of tires!!
I replaced the front ones with some used tires from a tire company called “ May Pop Tires” seriously…
I had one when I was a kid. It was a blast
waster.
Somebody wants to replace motor mounts and pilot bushings ever year, the way they're snatching that clutch around
I'm working on a similar project on my Silverado. Thanks for sharing your method of setting up your quick connectors for the control system. Guys like you make life easier for the rest of us diyers!

I need a car like it for how much it costs
What gauges did you add ? I see one is analog and two are digital, which do you like better ? Im not a big fan of digital What lake is that ?
Gauges= digital tach( because it was what I could find at the time for a 3 cylinder) Wide Band air / fuel gauge to dial in the Yamaha card jetting I swapped in, oil pressure gauge because the idiot light sending unit was leaking anyway, last but not least a shift light because in the winter plowing or going through the deep snow I am running in low range.. I’m in MN, have it licensed as a UTV legal on local & county roads... Lobster 🦞 Lake.
That looks awesome, you got mad skills my friend May I ask which state you are located in and is your truck registered and legal to drive on the public roads?
I like this a lot. Your really making me want to get one of these mini trucks and get a setup like this lol
Google your specific stats licensing requirements... I’m just a guy who likes to weld shit together..
How hard would it be to change this to a left hand driving vehicle too much work to do or No please comment back in was it a good investment this little truck with a blower on it please comment back and let me know thank you very much it looks like it would be a good type of vehicle for my 2 apartment complexes because I have a hard time getting in there with my big truck with a plow how expensive was this all together thank you
No need for LHD.... it’s easy to drive on the right.
@@ktcopyguy Are you able to register and insure these vehicles in the States I live in Connecticut
Nice.. Is this a bought blower unit or did you fab it yourself?
@@carldobson6529 the blower was an attachment for a 0 turn lawnmower, I threw the rest together. This shows some of it ruclips.net/video/mJvCc1GpZxo/видео.html
@@ktcopyguy thx, great job. I have a 23 hp Honda sotting on garage floor doing nothing and have been debating on using it directly on a blower OR using the engine to build a decent hydraulic power pack that I could place in back and simply run a hydraulic motor on blower itself to keep it lighter. Was thinking the xtra built in weight in the rear combined with a lighter blower unit in front might be a great balance. Either way yours is an awesome build
Finished project ; ruclips.net/video/rEKOGC4esdc/видео.html
All states are different, I live in Minnesota and have it licensed as a UTV, legal on local and county roads. I mainly will use this set up at the lake with no place to push the snow and I always get drifted in.
Come down and do my driveway for me. 😁
How hard is it to get those little trucks registered in ensured here in the States and how much was that little truck I have a couple of apartment buildings this set up would be ideal for that I have more grass than I do driveway clearance specially when the people's cars are in the way please comment back thank you very much for this video nice little truck
I need to replace the motor in mine. Did you have to do any other modifications on the motor outside of the exhaust to use that predator motor?
I did have to change the hub because the original motor was a tapered shaft going from 3/4 up to 1”... I cut the hub off and welded in a pulley hub that I purchased at Fleet.Farm.
@@sthpawilcan you provide a link to that? I cannot find it on eBay.
@@sthpawilcan you post the link?
Cant hear what you are saying. Sound is way too low
Yep.. I found that out after
pretty much worthless
There isn’t much weight with the truck to push 4ft of snow, it was so deep I had to crawl out the window ... I built a 60” snowblower for the front, just waiting for some snow to post a video... it should really send it.
A snow blower on one of these trucks sounds like a sweet idea.
