About Calakar -
Calakar means an “Artist” in Marathi or Hindi language in India.
This channel is named “Calakar” as it will feature boundless art forms like Folk Art, Classical Art, Ballroom, Latin American, Street Plays, Stand-up Comedy, Theatres and much more along with unique Podcasts like “Dance Antakshari”, “Chance Pe Dance”, “Folk Talkies”, etc.
This was formed in 2019 by corporate professionals like Shreyas Desai and Pranali Nimkar who strive hard to maintain their passion for Dance and has been working towards reviving the folk forms of India.
