    I bought a Deep Blue after seeing a couple of videos. It was a bad experience. Watch was defective when it arrived. Almost impossible to contact customer service. Finally got a reply from “Ed”. I sent it back. After about six enquires I finally got a refund but they kept $50 as a “restocking” fee. For a defective watch!!! Buyer beware

    1:05 why would the square around the date be all chipped? I have a Momentum Atlas and I love it. I also have a solar, but it’s satellite adjusted and thus always at the exact time. It’s a Casio Oceanus T200. Best watch I’ve ever owned, including 3 Rolex.

    44mm is perfect for my wrist. I paid $149.00 for the 5 military Nato Divers from Deep Blue Watches. That is what they are selling for right now at their website. Most of their models of the military divers are sold out, but they still have some nice models. You have to keep checking with them to see if they have restocked. They also have promo codes you can find on internet with substantial savings on particular models. I have purchased a lot of their watches and I am very satisfied. Good luck to you, I hope you will check them out. 2/23/23.

    It is not a "true" worldtimer because the 24 hours do not move with the hour. A "true" wrorldtimer, the 24 hour ring moves when the hour hand moves, so you never have to set the city bezel again, you only set it once. This Bernhardt Binnacle World Timer is not really "worldtimer", period. A world time complication makes a watch cost more. Keep that in mind. For real World Timers, the cheapest and one of the best is the one produced by Christopher Wart, another is BALL Swiss Worldtimer, another is Federick Constant, another and by far the most expensive is Vacheron Constantine, all of which are above US $1K.

    Bought the Anchor 3. I HATE dive watches but swim alot. Wanted a 200m+ with screw down crown that WASN'T a dive watch. This was perfect. One of my favorite watches. It's nice enough to wear out but not so expensive like my Omega or Rolex that I'm scared to get wet.

    My Seiko Prospex loses it's lume in hours, it's pathetic! $250 bucks and you can't read it till dawn. And it runs down over night. It's an automatic that doesn't stay wound. I've sent it back and we'll see if at least that function is fixed.

So disappointed I haven't got a few pieces over the years at the lower prices. I will still get one as soon as possible.

    Who in the world would turn to 5.11 for a dive watch?

  • @stuartwhelan3258
    @stuartwhelan3258 2 года назад

    As a former professional diver, most divers I know buy watches that are durable and reliable but easily replaced. Diving is very rough on watches. We would not dive a Rolex or Omega for example.. The Casio or, not reviewed here, a Citizen are the most prevalent. Just saying. Not many professional divers would use any of the other watches reviewed here.

    all of these watches except the Casio are garbage . you have trash taste man . i doubt your a watch maker , your probably some dude who mods watches in his room because alot of these watches have straight up TRASH MOVEMENTS , if you ever took one apart you would know that .

    I bought a stainless steel torpedo (200m water resistant with the rotating bezel) and friggin love it! Stopped wearing most other watches. Not too big, not too small, and it doesn't slip around my arm all day. Only $200, with the sapphire crystal! The watch in this video will probably be my next purchase. These guys make a fantastic product

    I expected to see the Vostok Amphibia on here, why not?

    • @nobodylikeswatches1005
      @nobodylikeswatches1005 2 года назад

      Regarding the Vostok Amphibia, I think it’s a good watch and a fun watch. However, with how much the prices have crept up on them they are in direct competition with some entry level Seiko 5’s and some Orient divers in that similar price range. At that price point Casio, Seiko, and Orient are better values and if you’re not against quartz, there are an even greater number of companies and pieces that are better constructed pieces. I believe the pieces on this list are dollar for dollar superior in fit, finish, and serviceability when compared to the Amphibia- and long-term serviceability is probably the most important factor when considering the true value of a watch (this is where your investment pays dividends) because it makes the timepiece, for lack of a better term, “irreplaceable”. Thanks for the question and keep enjoying the channel.

    When speaking about lubricating the crown threads, what would you recommend using?

    • @nobodylikeswatches1005
      @nobodylikeswatches1005 2 года назад

      Watchmakers tend to use a grease named fomblin. If they do not have access to that then they might use a grease like KT22.

    i purchased the earlier 3rd generation model called BBAnchor III (three) . a very solid piece at about 40mm wide . the only issue i have with the watch is this weights abit heavy . should be fine to wear it as a sports, field , weekend , or even black tie event watch but probably not suitable for daily work/office wear. i have a 17cm (6 and 3/4 inch wrist) but i wears abit loose

    Have Orient Mako and Ray version 1's, and they are decent watches but regard them as diver style watches vs Seiko SKX009, which the Deep Blue Pepsi looks so much like. The SKX009 bezel I can easily hold and rotate vs Ray and Mako which I think would be too difficult to grip when diving.

    • @rogeliopitti7120
      @rogeliopitti7120 2 года назад

      In the range of price under $500, Orient Triton/Neptune is a high quality watch, with superior specifications over SKX009. Saphire, hack movement, energy reserve indicator. And also like SKX, a certified diver's watch.

    The title is a bit misleading, it`s more like top dive watches under $300. Under $500 there are some heavy hitters like Seiko Turtle/Miniturtle and Citizen Promaster.

    I have this watch in PVD black and am very pleased with it. This makes my fifth watch from Bernhardt. I purchased two special edition (corporate) watches which were personally delivered and sized by Fred. This helped fuel my desire for my first automatic watch. I called Fred and he brought my two choices for me to select from. I chose the Binnacle Diver in the orange dial. I have since purchased the Globemaster GMT II and the Binnacle Anchor. The quality of all of the pieces is excellent and the customer service is beyond anything I have ever experienced from any company. If you are on the fence on this one just buy it. You will be very satisfied with your purchase.

      I agree, my Military Diver 300 screw down crown stripped out and won’t screw down. Took forever to hear back from them and it’s a minimum of $50 for them to look at it plus shipping both ways. The way they thread the crown is dumb and leads to weak threads. I’m just going to salvage parts out of it and toss the case. No more DB for me.
