I’m two years late but it’s because Miss Jessel took over her, to feel the pain instead of Flora. But Flora does have some recognition something happened because at the end she gives the doll to Dani and says “It’s you. Only you.” Nodding to the fact that the Lady of the Lake has become apart of Dani while when Flora first gives Dani a doll she says “You’re you. This is only a doll.”

The scene in the greenhouse with Dani and Jaimie. Was priceless. I loved the whole scene and the moon flower scene as well the potted ring scene plus a whole bunch of other scenes. The story was tragic and the end kinda broke me.

@@julia4ever1 I don't think it's really about what she deserved. It was a story about love and loss from the beginning. Arguably Dani and Jaime got the best outcome of any of the characters. None of us knows how long we've got but we get to decide how we're going to use the time we have. She knew she wasn't going to have a long life but she managed to make something really beautiful out of the time she did have. It's a sad ending for sure. You should be sad about it, that's the point, but it's bittersweet because you know that even if she could have gone back in time and never gone to Bly she wouldn't have. Because, "the work of loving someone is worth the pain of losing them."
