Why so many women are returning to creativity midlife, balancing the creative feminine energy.
Hi Creatives!
In this video I sit down to have a chat about why so many women are returning to creativity during mid life. I really think it is because we need to get back into flow of feminine energy and activities we have been pushing aside for so many years. I also talk about the importance of finding community and how your happiness affects others around you. I have a lot of thoughts about this and hopefully I can shed some light on the situation. I think it is amazing and I hope you are diving into your creative hobbies and businesses and finding your balance and happiness that life has to offer. I am here to cheer you on.!

Not doing great on social media but have had some success selling fine art prints on Etsy. I struggle with keywords, tags and all the SEO stuff and I sell prints but very few and far between! I wish you great success and contemplating starting a RUclips channel of my own as well! Right now I’m going to look into art licensing to see if it’s something I can stomach. Creativity is a feminine trait? Since when? We have thousands of years of cultural creativity by BOTH sexes. In fact, men have been dominantly creative throughout most of recorded history. Maybe the reason women (according to your theory) have been unhappy in their "masculine energy" is a direct function of the confusion about gender identity. But your theory sounds ridiculous to me as a non-binary artist and, frankly, insults men as creative beings. It sounds like TERF creativity to me!

    • @michellejozina
      @michellejozina 11 дней назад

      Thanks so much for your comment. In this video I said we ALL have BOTH masculine and feminine energy. I have never said men can’t be creative, that would be ludicrous. We can all be creative and have been for all of time. If you studied masculine and feminine traits you will know that creativity is a feminine trait. I appreciate your opinion and taking the time to watch my video. 😊

Corporate life is so much harder mentally and physically than it would have been chasing my dream. Interesting video - although, the whole concept of ideas going to someone else if you don't do anything about that idea is a lot of hooey, IMHO. It just puts pressure on yourself to execute all the ideas you come up with. Its not possible to even do that. Statistics will tell you that is entirely possible that someone will come up with the same idea as you, especially in the world of art, which is not necessarily all that large. It's just coincidence.

    i'm really glad i found this video. i'm 45 and just realized i want to start an art business, but that's where the certainty ends. i know an intense and potentially long period of artistic exploration is required now and although i'm excited about that, and can definitely give that to myself, it worries me to just have that time to myself - will it be worth it, etc. But i also realize that art is the only thing i've ever wanted to do. i spent my entire life believing i couldn't, and so now i still have that mindset and i'm working through all of that personal stuff as i reacquaint myself with the making process. it's just nice to know that older people are doing this too because although i've found some wonderful RUclips creators, they're all in their 20s and 30s and so there are big parts of what they do that are unrelatable. i'm excited to see where your journey takes you - and my own. :)

    Michelle, thank you for the shoutout! I'm so excited to chat with you on the podcast. Your message about just starting and going for it is so important for women to hear. It's so inspiring to see how you’re connecting with women from all over and building such a strong creative community. Keep being brave and putting yourself out there-you’re making a bigger impact than you realize!

    I definitely look at Pinterest for inspiration a lot of the time. My job drains me and makes me hate life so when I’m too tired to create I do look online for inspiration. Thank you for the coloring book idea, it’s a great one!
