That's pretty awesome. I loved being a miner. Its hard work but I loved the fast pace of things.
U running ac? Have any problems overheating?
i have not charged the ac system yet but i dont think it will have a issue it is running dual fans and it stays plenty cool with the corvette radiator we installed. i will have to post an update when we get it charged up.
@@KnowlesFamilyGarage ya let me know cuz I have a corvette radiator and dual fans and it still overheats. But I’m thinking my fans aren’t strong enough. Plus I live in south Florida
@@rodcarew1353 the best fans I have found are ones I repurposed off of a New Holland hay baler or a massy baler. They are 12 volt and they move a lot of air. They are the ones that are for blowing away all of the hay dust off of the knotter mechanisms. I tried one from oreily auto parts and I had a set of dodge intrepid fans I gave a try. They worked marginal at best that's when I gave these other fans a try. Il see if I can find a part number and post it up for you.
@@rodcarew1353 images.app.goo.gl/7NJPTAkjcgrGrGLYA this is the style of fan I used. They are spendy new but you can find used or aftermarket a lot cheaper.
Just done this on a customer truck last week, was super easy and they came right out. Torqued the new sensors to 15lb, new harness, good to go.
Used a easy out
That's awesome. Glad they came out easy for you I have had some that were pretty bad and almost didn't get them out. Thank you for watching.
you need the real wasp spray whatever you are using is not the right stuff.
@@robertj.ritchie2979 I agree for sure. My problem is I hate running to town nearest town is 16 miles. We ended up running and getting some of the spray that shoots like 20 feet and got rid of them finally. Thanx for watching.
If anyone has questions about the build feel free to ask and il answer them the best I can.
I understand nothing lasts forever but at the same time I drive once or twice a week and not even far, maybe half to an hour of soild drives just to keep all fluids moving. If what I do fixes it I will save some money for new tires maybe even some 20s, if it what I do doesn't fix it, it's out. I have neighbors and they use to see doing stuff to the truck and driving it and the other day they asked how come I went a month then decided to clean it and how come I don't drive it much and asked if I'm getting to old and need ac and I said no man I can drive hot rods with no ac, take it up with gm if you don't like seeing me start to neglect the cleaning on it, I use to brush it off with a california car duster every day and use spray wax detailer once a week.
So you have an old phone you are using?
@@stevec5632 I have been messing with my laptop and also my phone because my dongle has Bluetooth capability. It's pretty handy.
I just bought the VX dongle. I can read and save the file off my ECM, I downloaded tuner pro . But I can't get it to do anything. I just don't understand how it works. My tunerpro doesn't look like the ones I see on RUclips.
This was a fun day I can't wait to ride again
@@keanknowlesoutdoors4335 forsure bud. Definitely going again next year.
I'll be needing some ram horn manifolds. Plus, how to separate all of the computer wires and take it out. As I'm using a qudera jet
I'm 74 but still finding myself doing a 400sb swap into my 01 jemmy 4×4. I'll be needing some information..😊
@@leoncostley4370 it's all good age is just a number keep on building as long as you can. I will get in depth on the wiring once I get my engine set in there. You will need a special oil pan for your 4x4 and you will want to make sure you get the conversion mounts with the 2 sets of holes in the mounting points. You can run the low performance 2nd gen Camaro manifolds that's what I ran on my first build. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask il help anyway I can. You can email me if needed. knowlesmobileservice@gmail.com Good luck on your build.
Good start..
Thank you. It is going to be a fun project. Cant wait to take it to our local bracket drag races.
Oh geez no bueno
I am hoping they can get it out before it burns up anyone's cabins or any of the mine stuff. It's such a neat place.

WD40 is good to have... helps tools not rust
Usually don't have rusty tools. This set has just been in the bottom of a old tool box behind my shop that's been there for 12 plus years. It is a good find though glad to have them.
Just busting balls bro... i got some that look just like this... good tip too!
My old job was in a super wet coal mine I used a ton of wd40 or my tools sucked lol
The moisture sucked not the wd 40 lol.
Or just get a 6 spline key for 5 dollars. Prolly cheaper than a bolt removal kit
Already have the lugnuts for free and own the tool. I don't like the splined lugnuts on my work trucks because people lose the sockets then I have to go on a service call to rescue my own truck. Getting rid of them simplified things and makes one less worry. That $5 socket going MIA can cost me half a day that I can be making good money. I don't need to waste $5 on something I will use once. Thanx for watching.
A 19mm socket works wonders on those.
Got one off with a socket now they became 1 lol.
They actual socket is like $9
I do a lot of traveling to remote places for my business. This is just easier to have them be regular lugnuts so I don't end up stranded when I can't find the socket because it was removed or got kicked out of my truck on accident.
I always used a normal deep socket on these, granted I have destroyed some. Ya win some ya lose some. Hahaha.
I now own a deep socket that is one with a lug nut from earlier before I went this route lol.
Snap-On calls them "flank drive" sockets.
A lift in the front would Change the whole look of this truck. It is kinda leaning like a hot rod right now
It's a work in progress it has smaller tires in the front while we work on it. It has a fresh set of 33s and new wheels to go on it when we are done.
That could be a nice truck with a little bit of work for sure.
So would the X tool be all that's needed to re learn the throttle body sensor? Bc I read somewhere that it jas to be performed at the dealership which let's me know its gonna be expensive af and I would like to avoid that if at all possible
It definitely works for relearn of tps on the Chevy cobalts. This scanner has surprised me it does lots of things that are supposed to be dealer only. I have used it for a year and loved it so I bought the newer one the other day off of Amazon it does all the same stuff and more. I can also program key fobs and chip keys and I can make most vehicles with a exhaust filter that's becoming plugged force Regen and clean them out and save someone a pile of money that usually is a dealer only deal as well. Best part is if you have to buy one post up a add on FB or something and program 5 or 6 keys for people and it pays for it self. Good luck on your car if you have any questions how to do it let me know I'm happy to help any way I can.
I can't find a TPS online for my Cobalt. Which is the specs?
@@angyortiz2986 what year of cobalt is it? Il see if I can find a part # for you.
