You do not have to put a piece of paper over the lettering of the brake cleaner saying brake cleaner we all know it's CRC brake cleaner the reason why I know I am a mechanic
if it’s normal don’t spray it, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it
Don't worry about it. It's good for the rotors and pads.
Would that be CRC brake cleaner??
😂 You guessed it!
Could have used this. 😐
These videos charge me right up. Start my day!
I've got a spare tire I take with me everywhere I go. Know what mean? 🛞👕
i have no spare, nor do i even have a spot for one.
I had Sands Kia in Arizona lie to me straight faced that the new KIA Rio had a spare tire. I opened the trunk and looked before I left the lot and chewed him out. He even went and took my military license plate cover off while I was waiting. He tried to put it in his desk drawer right in front of me. I almost came unglued....Stealing to new heights. I had no choice but to trade in the other POS KIA Specta in on a new KIA Rio. The factory defect in the center of the radiator tank was not covered under warranty. I asked why? They said the radiator wasn't part of the cooling system..... I just started a new job with an hour each way and just got through a divorce.
I hope you're luck changes brother. Good luck on the divorce
Driving with no spare😂
If you have the room, use a full size spare.
Here's another tip: don't buy BS cars that don't have a spare
If you have one all i have is a fix a flat kit
Thanks. This got me charged up.
Do all cars have a starter relay
As far as we know, if the vehicle has an electric starter it will have a relay. There are some different methods out there like air starters for heavy trucks but generally speaking, yes.
Hey my man this was VERY helpful, thank you!
Glad we can help!
Nice relay 🥵
Where is my fuse box on a mustang ??
On Mustangs, most of the time they are located on the right side of the vehicle in the far front of the vehicle. The battery should be behind it.
Ugh
Good content
Yep. Rotate every oil change and keep them aired to 5 psi less than max on the tire and you will get a long life out of your tires.
an electic car no alternator what can i do ????
Hi @DSauve-ct7ig, Here are some common issues that would cause your EV not to start: Insufficient Charge, Key Fob Issues, Faulty Battery, Overheating or Charging Station Malfunction. If you have another question or need anything please let me know, we love to help.
@@AutoAideApp 👍 thanks
@@DSauve-ct7ig Glad we can help!
Did my rotors with your video, had a little trouble starting my car. Went ahead and looked into this video as well and another helpful video.
@@austinwashington4680 Glad the videos are helping! If you have any direct questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
I went ahead and ordered you a good wire brush. Should be in the mail any day. 👍
😂Thanks Lucas! A wire brush is the right tool for the job. Good looking out.
Nogodwhatabouttgeangle
Don’t go get the fuse box and relays
😂😂
Sorry but common sense will tell you to check the battery first. Never smack the ignition, your just going to dent and scratch the column and probably brake the ignition. First check the battery voltage. Then check the starter. An older vehicle with solenoid on the firewall you can just jump the connection to see if it’s the starter. That will also let you know if it is the solenoid or the ignition. Then you can see if your getting power to the solenoid from the ignition. You can do that on new and old, but if you don’t have a solenoid on the firewall you can jump the connection on the starter. Starter works, and no power to the solenoid, you then check relays. If everything is working except power to the solenoid, you need to look into the ignition being bad.
Hey Richard, that is also some good advice. Just to clarify, we do not recommend hitting the ignition or column but performing a tap test on your starter itself (located on the back of the engine) this will let you know you have a bad starter. Hope this helps
@@AutoAideAppbrother, I apologize. I for some reason heard you say smack the ignition. You did not say that. You did in fact say starter. And I apologize. Keep doing you and don’t let me slow you down.
@@richardpack4 We appreciate any and all feedback. It keeps us honest and always improving. Thank you!
Smacked your starter with a ratchet... good luck getting anywhere near the starter. Vehicle won't start so how ya going to check your alternator when its running?
Im getting a scotty Kilmer vibe
or your starter relay is also common
I know why hitting the starter helps some times learned this when I was 13 do you know why?
Good three starting points... next I would look at the starter and ignition relays.
You’re an idiot if you believe this.
😂
Thats the way i did it 😅
Some of these videos should be America's funniest homemade videos you should always make sure you do a alignment after messing with a tie rod end tires are way more expensive than a alignment
Code readers should be cheap, because all they do is read codes. That gives you a starting point. But if you really want to diagnose an issue, you need a scan tool
The threads dont matter at all, its the overall length of the inner and outer tie rod that matters because sometimes the new parts are longer or shorter than the original. Also more than likely that mark will go away when you back the jam nut off over it. Just go get an alignment, its not that expensive and is worth saving your tires and keeping you safe.
As a licensed tech at a shop that does not do alignments. Whenever i do tie rods i measure the entire length of the inner and outer (assuming the car steers straight already). Measure the inner from where the tie rod boot ends to the end of the outer. Sometimes new tie rods are not quite the same size. Even an 1/8" longer could have the steering wheel turbed 90⁰. Match the lenght the best you can, if the steering wheel is off a bit you can easily correct it after a couple road tests. If you know how toe adjustment works then its very easy to set it properly without a machine
That is very helpful and great advice. Thank you for sharing this with us!
Yeah, until you get the aftermarket part and it's ever so slightly different. Every time 😂
Yeah, that does happen unfortunately
@@AutoAideApp lol. Good tip though for sure
That should work. I usually just count the threads.
Ready to roll! 🛞
You realize not all tie rod ends are identical.. 🤦♂️ any more bad “mEcHaNiC” tips?
I wish that was facts
That's just nuts
This is not how things works. If your replacing a tie rod it wont be the dame length as the old one if your taking this off to replace bushings or other parts same story nothing on that side will be aligned and will start eating tires on that side .. messing with any steering linkage or bushings you can do this to get it close but please get an alignment
Perfect advice! That's what keeps the tire and alignment shop where I work busy! 😂
Стойка стаба с тавотницами😮, это почти вечный элемент подвески если шприцевать) такого не делают.
The poor man pays for a new set of tyres and alignment.
You still got to go get it aligned
