Thank you so much! I’ve been googling TIF Districts since it keeps coming up with a job I’m about to start and it hasn’t made sense till now.

A worthwhile watch for anyone interested in neighborhood development with a few minutes to spare. I guess having mechanisms in place for payback and an explicit alignment of the spirit of TIF with the contractual obligations are a couple good ways to ensure that TIF is used as a shield for the nearby residents and not a sword against them.

Thanks! I live in Helena. I work IT at the Legislature. I see TIF every once in a while. This was a pretty clear explanation. So there's a group that decides how much if any TIF money a project will get. TIF projects normally look to fix up the neighborhood in dozens of ways such as tearing down shady buildings and building shiny buildings with better sidewalks and parking. I see you have a couple more shows in this TIF series. You have at least 102 and 103. I'll watch

Great job on the video Matt, you have a great presence. I am in the South and considering a job in Missoula, as I have always dreamed of living in Montana. However, the rental and home prices are extremely high to say the least. Even on a six figure salary, I'm not sure it would be a comfortable living in Missoula. Information Technology jobs, how is the job market for that industry?

Wow, citizens from any other city would do anything to have a WinCo. In Idaho, there are people who drive for up to an hour to shop at WinCo. It's like a cult there.
