Cell membrane
The Phospholipid Bilayer
The plasma membrane is the most thoroughly studied of all cell membranes, and it is largely through investigations of the plasma membrane that our current concepts of membrane structure have evolved. The plasma membranes of mammalian red blood cells (erythrocytes) have been particularly useful as a model for studies of membrane structure. Mammalian red blood cells do not contain nuclei or internal membranes, so they represent a source from which pure plasma membranes can be easily isolated for biochemical analysis. Indeed, studies of the red blood cell plasma membrane provided the first evidence that biological membranes consist of lipid bilayers. In 1925, two Dutc...

Brief Facts on X chromosome
Просмотров 24День назад
The X chromosome is one of the two sex chromosomes in humans (the other is the Y chromosome). The sex chromosomes form one of the 23 pairs of chromosomes in each cell. The X chromosome spans about 155 million DNA building blocks (base pairs) and represents approximately 5 percent of the total DNA in cells. Each person usually has one pair of sex chromosomes in each cell. Females typically have ...

Basics Information on Beta Thalassemia
Просмотров 1321 день назад
Thalassemia is an inherited autosomal recessive disease resulting from mutations in the α- and β-globin gene clusters on chromosome 16 and chromosome 11, respectively. It is characterized by the absence or reduced synthesis of globin chains of hemoglobin and includes two main types, α- and β- thalassemia.
Spinal muscular atrophy
Просмотров 34Месяц назад
What is spinal muscular atrophy? Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) represents a group of genetic (inherited) neuromuscular disorders that cause certain muscles to become weak and waste away (atrophy). SMA involves the loss of a specific type of nerve cell in your spinal cord called lower motor neurons, or anterior horn cells. These cells control muscle movement. Without these motor neurons, muscles...

Muscular dystrophy is a genetic problem that causes muscles to weaken and atrophy (become smaller and waste away). Muscle weakness may affect the skeletal muscle or the heart muscle. It is caused by the inability of muscles to respond to nerve impulses from the brain Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Symptoms DMD most commonly appears in children between 3 and 6 years old. Like the better-known virus that causes smallpox, it’s a member of the genus Orthopoxvirus. Mpox spreads through close contact with someone who’s infected. Where do we find motifs?
In the same database or you can use Interpro database as well
Hi do you know how to convert cgh to either aed or vcf file?
How to get the rs id??
You mean new rs ID for new variant?
perfectly explained
Thanks for appreciation
please can you tell .. Is this site still working??? becuase it not work with me and I don't know why
Thank you for the tutorial. I think the volume of your voice is too low, I couldn't clearly although I already maximize my speakers' volume.
Sorry about that, we will try to re-record the video once again
Best explanation
Glad you think so!

This website is an amazing resource!... this must have taken forever to make... hats off to the people who made it!
👍👍👍
Sir, I have a doubt. I just want to know the position of the variant i.e in the review of literature, I've come across a particular gene, it's variant which is autosomal inheritance. Can I see the variant position using ANNOVAR? could you please explain it?
Yes, once you download the excel supportive file (i.e. CSV file), there you can see the variant position (both genomic and cDNA) as well.
i don't think you are a good teacher
Karachi belongs to India
if there isn't enough introns can we take few bases from the next exon
Yes you can sequence from upstream and downstream region
@@PakistanScienceTV ok thanks. btw nice video. subbed
but how do you download the list of genes in a given pathway?
DID YOU USE FASTA FILE TO COPY THE SEQUENCE
No, we used plain sequence. I hope, I answered your question? if not then elaborate your question I will explain it further.
ey-Pakistan. well , farewell, ;))
Good 👍
Informative👌
how can I find mutation sequence on DNA. This show codon and aminoacid but sequence of mutated gene regions on DNA can you help please?
Thanks for watching my video. If you mean that how do we know mutation position on DNA level ? if yes then we can determine it through Mutalyzer tool. I will upload my video on that and share with you.
@@PakistanScienceTV yes I mean that, I am waiting for that thanks...
Thank you for your explanation😃
