My cousin has a cat that decided a black bear was getting to close to her on their deck, charged the adult bear, slapped the taste out of the bears mouth with those rapid fire cat slaps, watched the bear run away and turned around looking smug. We have Black bears here where we live too. I've never had a problem.

I'd say ask Kobe but unfortunately that's not possible. He did answer though before he parted. Kobe said, basically, that if Shaq had Kobe's work ethic Shaq would beconsidered the best center in basketball ever. I was a Laker fan during Kobe's entire career and watched every game.
