Freakwave of 30 meters high. Vessel: Mv.Metsaborg. Company: Wagenborg. Place of freakwave: North Atlantic. Time: 1-2 February 2008 Ship Length x Breadth: 135 m X 17 m
FREAKY waves 👅
imagine being on a norse longship part of an expedition through the north atlantic, and you get swept up in a behemoth of a wave like this. Lief Erikson really had balls of steel
𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂… wave
If you fall in it’s 2 miles straight down
freaky wave
😝
What if instead of being a FREAK wave it was a 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂… wave
In the old days ships were made of wood and men were made of steel now ships are made of steel and men are made of wood and also smaller ships were more sea worthy they may bounce around a lot but they were buoyant and also when the sank no one knew about it for months aargh Jim
The crew sounds like they are talking about nothing but a heavy rain.
👅👅👅 freak wave 🌊🌊🌊
thats it?? i get more excitement eating vegetable soup!
feaky wawe
They speak Dutch.......They know what they are doing.
You need to look up the definition of "freak"
This ladies and gentlemen, is why the Mediterranean was a hot bed of civilization for thousands of years. Calmer seas meant far easier sea travel and trade
You know it's bad when the Russian is like "Oh, shit!".
Dutch video
Big Whup!! The wave 'gently' rolled onto the ship, in a non-threatening fashion!!
The white waves of death
Fun fact: “Rouge waves” were only somewhat recently accepted as being real by science because there was basically no evidence for them. It is now believed that this lack of evidence is because until modern ships came along basically nobody survived an encounter with one.
It's a big wave, but definitely not 30m high.
Most of the time oceans are calm, people who traversed in wooden boats will stay out of the ocean in winter season where the waters & winds will be rough. But its another story if they are getting hit by an unprecedented cyclone..
You know honestly Im not surprised people thought you could fall off the "edge" of the world. When you're at the crest of a rogue wave. You look down and think. SHIT I'm about to fall down there.
the wave is freaky👅
so freaky freaknut baby
There’s a reason old maps have so many sea monsters depicted in deep oceanic areas. They had to imagine reasons for why no one returned.
This is why we all hear about ships sinking in history class. And pacific islanders still made it to Hawaii
I would have traded 10 years of my life to just not get sea sick. It's a curse.
I'd do anything to ride those waves or even bigger than those 🤪
Yeah, the ocean is constantly trying to kill you. I'm more a river guy. I can swim to a shore, but the ocean.....f that madness.
Godzilla swimming under them
Ofcourse it's the Dutch haha
Absolute freak wave, lock it up!! 😡
Boring
All i can think about is the crew standing at 15-20° having a casual talk 😂
took it pretty good
Hello. Thick drysuits neoprenes and very big buoyant lifejackets at all time during the storm. Thank you for the moovie. Please tell to the others too. My very best regards.
Yep
Respect to the shipbuilders.
Why is it every time nature gets the better of us it’s a “rogue” or a “freak” It’s just a wave you underestimated.
To me these waves make it quite obvious: the sea doesn't want us there 😬
So this must have been what the crew on the Edmund Fitzgerald saw
It's unreal imagining the stresses on the hull of a ship. When stretched between two waves think of the weight in the middle. Then when balanced on a wave like a see saw imagine the force trying to break hull in half.
Als landrot zou ik denk ik leeglopen uit elke opening..
I guarantee ya. There are zero Feminists on this ship.
The guys are just laughing and carrying on , lol. Id be clinging to the ceiling - crying , haha
The ocean is scary
i've been in consistent 30 - 35 foot seas. i was young so it was fun. now i get the jeebies watching the videos.
J0der, RUclips me recomienda vídeos de la era 144p

Is it too late to comment?
Crazy how water gives life and can be so deadly.
Right now, a poor Woke in the USA is crying as you called the wave a freak. You gotta be careful today with the RUclips censorship! Smooth sailing!
Meanwhile * noises of chaos and panic in the background*
