I create painting time-lapses and tutorials!
I am a beginner and I'm always facing challenges in breaking down art when painting or recreating an image. Therefore, I'm all about finding ways to simplify and breakdown art, especially if you're looking to pick up painting.

🎨 My 1st Watercolour Painting! | KURETAKE Gansai Tambi First Impressions + Speed Paint Ghibli Scene
Hi everyone~ It's been quite a while since my last video but today, I have another review on a painting palette! It's the Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolour set in 36 colours!! This set was something that caught my eye since last year but I hesitated a lot since I've never painted an artwork piece using watercolour and wasn't sure if it would suit my style of paintings.
*DISCLAIMER: only the blue sky was gouache, everything else was from the Watercolour Palette!
I also tried to look up reviews and painting demonstrations, but I didn't really see Gansai being used in this particular way (more intense) and thus I honestly didn't know how vibrant or opaque these were and that's why I really wa...

Hi everyone, In today's paint with me session, I complete a house study using a scene from Kiki's Delivery Service from Studio Ghibli! 🏡 I've always been very intimidated by painting buildings/architecture in general since not only do you have to worry about small details such painting straighter lines (in comparison so nature), but also perspective. I wanted to conduct a HOUSE study to learn m...
Paint with me (gouache) #2 | Speedpaint Studio Ghibli - Kiki's Delivery Service 🌟
Просмотров 6863 года назад
Hi everyone! Today in the paint with me session; I will be recreating a scene from the Studio Ghibli film Kiki's Delivery Service! This may not be an iconic or memorable scene, but I remember being captivated by the openness of the fields and the adorable house situated amongst all the greenery. I found this scene challenging in a few ways even though it does resemble many of the paintings I've...

The painting is beautiful and you did one of the best reviews on Gansai Tambi paints that I have seen on youtube. And believe me, I have seen a lot of them! You have a new subscriber🙂
I have a water dropper and the colors I use I drop a few drops in the pans. Love these watercolors my personal favorite. I love colorful art.
Thank you so much! 🥰🥰
The extremely detailed review from you made me want to buy them too ..though I come from a really middle clas house where I have to wait for the new sem to buy stationary and supplies I hope to buy them soon and I'm not really good at watercolours I wanna learn it so I think I don't wanna waste such amazing paints in my beginner era so I'll buy them when I can actually use them ..thank you for such amazing review and soothing painting process I enjoyed it ❤
No, thank you for your kind comment! I hope one day you will be able to get the palette you want, and hopefully you arent too harsh on yourself 🥰🥰 I’m also a strong believer in not needing to buy the highest quality of items when starting out, sometimes simple work out just fine! If you ever have any questions, happy to chat!
never seen something like this before so beautiful
Thank you so much 💖
WOW!
Thank you!
Such a magnificent illustration and I never think about using a hand-held fan to dry.
Thank you! Super handy ive found for watercolour!
your amazinggg
Thank you! 💖
You're underrated ,you know?! Can you please make some tutorial about how to paint bushes of ghibli studios (灬♥ω♥灬)
wow....yours turned out to be soo vibrant....mine was all muddy muddy
Might be because of the paints you're mixing? Some colours look muddy when mixed, like red and blue can give a really muddy purple if they're are the wrong shades. These do also lift very quickly, so maybe because of that.
The colour your mix is very important - I tried to not mix at all and just use straight from the paint
Such a charming illustration!
Thank you!!!
Музыка лишняя, а так очень красивенько все🤗
Amazing painting! Love Howl's Moving Castle .
Thank you so much 💖💖💖
Very beautiful painting, thank you for the review
You are welcome! Thank you 💖
How are you suppose to refill them
Hey there! Good question - looks like you can separate colours as refills as opposed to the entire palette
This is really beautiful😭😭 which brand of fan do you use for helping to dry the paint?
Hi there! Sorry for the late reply - I received it as a gift and threw the packaging away. Now I have no idea what the brand is 😰
@@NickyCreates ah no problem!! Thank you for responding🥰
Honestly this is marvelous, recently felt like going back to watercolor paintings, don't see much watercolor Ghibli videos. I hope to get more videos and tutorial on watercolor from you, since I also prefer vibrant watercolor landscapes 🥰💕💖
Aww thanks! Will do and glad you enjoyed 💖💖
Can I use gouache for it?
Yes of course!
Your art is so beautiful, I really like it and I'm new subscriber! I appreciate your artwork and make more painting! Btw how many hours did you finish your artwork?
Thank you so much 😍😍! This really means a lot to me!
wow... you literally had me checking how much time was left in your video because when i would think you were finished you'd literally make it even better. this video deserves 300K+ views!!! youtube is slipping! also the shadow on the tape makes it look like a pool hahaha
Aww thank you so much! This comments make me happy 🥰🥰
Hi! This is awesome! Are you using a watercolor pad here? 😊😊😊
Hi there! No, it’s not specifically for watercolour but its thick enough for that (300gsm)
Lovely, you are very good in painting details
Thank you so much!
I have the 48set. They're great if you spray with water and let it activate a bit. Then you won't have that issue of need to use a lot of water
Oo that’s a good idea! Thank you
Nice video :)
Thank you so much 🥰
I got my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor set on jetpens.com. My palette looks different from yours. I have the same count of colors. Yours has Japanese writing near the color. Mine does not. Are there fake ones I should be aware of?
Hey there! Unfortunately I’m not aware of fake ones :( Sorry that I can’t be of much help - how do the colours paint though?
Wow!! SO beautiful , what a great painting you've made. I have the starteset and I love it , this was a very helpful vid. Love and Light from Europe 💞

Thank you so much for dropping by 🥰 Will definitely check out!
First of all I would like to say - great painting! You got lovely contrast going on there which definitely makes it look like a nice finished painting rather than just a simple sketchbook entry. Now onto the paints and review - I find some of your points quite encouraging, especially the ones about painting more due to the convenience of the paint being laid out like that instead of being in tubes. I come from using gouache in tubes - been using Schmincke Akademie, which is also student grade - and have been quite happy with them quality-wise, but considering it is more expensive than the Himi and thus having less colors - the constant squeezing of tubes and having to mix color on the pallet just kept me from painting more often. I know it's easy to reactivate gouache so wasting paint is not an issue with this medium, but having only a couple of colors and having to mix all needed colors from them is (a great exercise, but also) a real pain. I ordered the Himi set yesterday and am looking soooooo forward to having more colors to choose from. Obviously one would have to mix them as well to get the all nuances, but starting with a color much closer to what you need is simply a quality of life I really have learned to appreciate. A little thing I would like to point out, since you mentioned transitioning to other gouache paints such as the Winsor and Newton (artist grade) is that you should be prepared to spend *a lot* more on paint - even the Schmincke Akademie is so expensive that more or less for the price of 18 colors in a Himi set, I managed to get 5 x 20 ml tubes and 3 x 60 ml tubes of Schmincke, which is a lot of paint but it's still only 6 colors + black and white. I haven't gotten into the Winsor and Newton stuff, but I have heard here on RUclips that the price for one tube can get up to 20 USD (I'm guessing it varies depending on the color/pigment). So yeah transitioning to artist grade is great but really expensive, I guess one really needs to earn her/his living with art for it to make sense. Anyway thanks again for the great painting and review! I'm heading off to watch your Kiki's Delivery Service video now (I just love the Gibli films and I'm not even an anime fan). And yes I like leaving long youtube comments :D I guess I just enjoy talking about art!
Thanks so much!! Was a pleasure reading your comments and love the insight on the price of tubes 🥰🥰 Definitely something to consider!! Hope you enjoy(ed?) watching Kiki’s delivery service!
@@NickyCreates I most definitely did enjoy it, as I did your other videos as well! You are a great illustrator!
