Matthew Larkin spends his birthday in the National Gallery of Canada, travelling from the Fountain Garden Court to the Rideau Chapel, and discusses Caelis's forthcoming (on September 15) concert of Thomas Tallis's Latin text compositions. SPEM IN ALIUM (thought to have been composed in 1570, but for whom? Elizabeth I? The Duke of Norfolk?) is an adaptation of text from the Apocryphal Book of Ju...

Good evening Jesus
Wonderful as always- thank you all
I like it
Nice

Truly beautiful. Greetings from a fellow musician in Bloemfontein, South Africa.
Good God, what a beautiful reminder of my very young years in my father's choir in Melbourne during the 1950s and early 60s. However my voice was never as good as these well-trained choristers! Thank you very much for uploading.
Caelis is truly a blessing. Superb job by all.

Love those false relationships!
excellent
I don't agree with the use of Pedal on the last Verset, increasing the discourse, when the 4 voices should stay equal, it is written in this way I think. By contrast, on the 3rd Verset, it is possible to play on separate keyboards, for example Cornet at the right hand and a Cromorne at the left one, like a Duo, and more, a separate stop for the Pedal (Flûte, Montre, ...). Just my opinion.
Trying to handle the key entry parts will be interesting in that reverb
Great playing! The register switches for emphasizing on the main subject (middle voices for example) was a smart choice. I wish there were more organ recordings of this fugue...
Matthew, re-playing this; it is simply fabulous!!
Seriously impressed by the soprano! But who is she? Please add the performers' names to the blurb. And some timestamps.
