Kings of lucis think they're gods or something. A-holes were given a ring and rock so they're all high and mighty. Even without Ardyn and Somnus' story it still irks me how they see the ring as their property instead of a way to help people, causing harm with it even to guys on their side like Nyx and Ignis. Ardyn wasn't so wrong wanting that obnoxious bloodline to perish
Wanna hear a bit of cool lore? The scene where they are outside city limits in the desert, you can see cindy’s workshop. Its deserted, but that would mean that the people looking for shelter after the loss of keycatrich hadnt lost their home yet. That means every battle we have faught is a recent change to the world and not a battle faught against some long standing enemy, not until ardyn. Also shows u how fast nifelheim went to take on the throne of insomnia too, rapid deployment in its finest

is he though? he and both noct are, insomnia was always destined to fall it’s just regis tried to delay it as long as he could in good faith. considering the niffs were never the true villains, but the caelum’s and bahamut themselves. nyx couldn’t have taken on ardyn but chances are noct and gladio could’ve dealt with glauca.
He is one of many who made the road for Noctis to achieve his duty; Regis, Gladio's father, Luna, Nyx, Ignis and the Kingsglaives all were sacrifices for the greater good

yeah, everything to do with the lucii is about balance you have to take the good with the bad, which is in the gameplay. noctis is harmed when using the kings’ weapons, mainly regis’. the average lucian monarch’s reign is about 17.5 years because the ring / magic is killing them and unlike nyx they can at least maintain it because it’s in their blood. nyx choose to sacrifice his life and i don’t know if you’ve played it but a party has to also play by that balance.

I think it was a test from the kings, to see if he truly deserves the power.
I love how the movie points out that the old kings are kind of assholes.
kinda late but true, them the old kings forgot what makes king a king. A king is fundamentally those who were selected by the people to rule over and lead and when there's no people, there should be no king.
@muhamadsyahmi951 the king of Lucis are a royal bloodline. Choosen by the crystal. The kings are assholes because they faced war their entire lives, and fully blame the people of current Lucis for allowing peace to make them weak, to create traitors .

They do say magic always comes with a price. This scene always gets me because Nyx is such a badass character. If it weren't for him, the story wouldn't have played out the way we know it. He deserved a place in the game. The deal should've been. The Kings of Lucis grant him their power. The price cost him his life, but it is paid when Noctis puts on the Ring of the Lucii. That way, there could've been Episode Nyx. In the background of the games events. Nyx is travelling the Kingdom of Lucis, hunting down members of the Kingsglaive who betrayed Insomnia to Niflheim and finding out Niflheim's plans in the process. After defeating his episodes final boss, Nyx's body starts to turn to dust, and he dies with a smile on his face, knowing that the Ring of the Lucii is now on Noctis' hand.
Technically, he did get a place in the game.
You forgot that Ardyn is a Lucis too. His soul nevertheless can be captured by Ardyn using a Psychomancer even if he survived.
@silkwind7618 . No no. All I'm saying is that Nyx deserved a better ending. Instead of just being granted the rings power for a few hours.
@@Doctor_Logic He did have an option to have this power forever but turned it down. I'd rather die a hero than live with the guilt of taking another life for a power I know I'm not worthy of.

Nyx was the best thing about FF15. It's sad to see the movie Kingsglaive, as amazing as it is, was so much better than the actual game. Wish Kingsglaive as the game we could have gotten after they chose to scrap FF13Versus.

If the game was canned we may have seen a kingsglavie DLC. Such a shame we never got any more DLC
@@moogiibat5845 He was a Glaive for 12 years before he died. You could have a whole lot of game in there and the moview could be the last chapter with a bonus dlc for the time afterwards(originally the devs were going to add his character as a devine messenger after death) like when you can play ardyn fighting against noctis and the bros.

I mean we didn't even get all all the DLCs that were planned, in my opinion we missed out on the most interresting ones.
