Well... the viewership numbers are out and it looks bad... It's like... half of what Velma got... After the 2 seasons are over so it lines up with the new game this show is dead in the water. Crystal Dynamics has a ticking time bomb on their hands now. There is just no way the new game is going to make them money. They'll sell a few million copies, but it's going to be a financial disaster. They deserve it though, they never understood the IP from the get go. They hated the brand and tried to rebrand it for a decade and now it's finally blowing up.

This looks interesting tbh.
I do miss Ludington as Lara honestly, but Atwel does a good job. It erks me that all I see online is just the "anti-woke" talking points, and how this Lara isn't the Lara. Personally, my first game was TR 2013, so I'm definitely biased, but it's not a bad show. For Season 1, it's a solid foundation. I just hope they get the opportunity to actually use that potential.
I do agree with you on Ludington, and it wasn’t bad for a first season just wanted more out of the story and characters. However, season 2 can build on this and improve for sure!

Saw it a couple nights ago and its such a fun movie and the Lego medium is used so well to enhance a pretty standard biopic/doc. Really hope all the good word or mouth and reviews helps this movie get some legs and find an audience. Inventive movies like this need to be celebrated so we can keep getting more.

I played only survivor trilogy and now playing the remasters of the original Lara Croft. So i can say that the show is just ok nothing great nothing bad. But overall imperssion from the hardcore fans of Tomb Raider was insane. So I can't say that this show has a future. It's good that there are RUclipsrs who don't slide into radicalism and don't overpraise or overhate the project. They try to find a happy medium. In my opinion, this is the main thing in this kind of review. Thank you for it!

The very first tomb raider game released in 96 is my favorite game of all time. Ever since crystal dynamics got their hands on Lara, I completely lost all interest, they are very disrespectful towards the legend that Lara Croft really is

The series as I see it is actually quite a nice adaptation of Astrid Lindgren's "Karlsson-on-the-roof" books, with Lydia fulfilling the role of Little Brother(though the original Beetlejuice is already much like Karlsson in terms of personality, only lustful and with murderous instincts, so when they toned him down for the cartoon, this is what they got).
Love that comparison! 👌🏼 You can definitely tell with the tone in what we got.

@@DWor- It definitely made me see the film as “darker” or more heavier, but I loved both for sure!
@@JaceyFlicks Me too. I was worried about Keaton reprising the role (safety issues) but it looks like it all turned out splendidly.
