The ONE problem with this high intensity low volume is the lack of pump during the training. To me the pump is very motivating and going to the gym and not having a good pump is frustrating.
Yeah, but the actual growth you get from it is much more satisfying than just getting pumps.
Absolutely agree with you, the pump makes training so much more enjoyable.
there's no reason you can't have both the pump and the growth from training, if you add some more volume and reduce intensity, the amount of effective training is still the same.

Yea its not about training the right muscle. You can train ur legs to get bigger biceps.
This clip was in context to lat pulldowns, for beginners who cannot necessarily feel which muscle they are hitting, the more important concept is that they are training hard because no matter which part of your back you try to hit, the entire back is going to be working either way.
