www.elliottdavismusic.com/ The end of my bachelor's recital. Unfortunately, the recording setup was not adjusted for this instrumentation/stage setup, so the quality isn't great. You can barely hear the solo violin in the original file, so I've applied some EQ to isolate it the best I could. Charlie Parker Suite trans./arr. by me (2023) From the following recordings: 1. Martinu Piano Trio #2 in D Minor (complete)
holy shit, as a beginner violinist, im so impressed those emotions are are rollercoatser i iwsh to to be as good like you somewhen!! HELLAA TALENTED
Wonderful interpretation! That is difficult to pull off. May I ask what shoulder pad you use?
Thank you! It is a rolled-up cloth wrapped in shelf liner. It sits on top/behind my collarbone to create an even surface. So the contact point with the violin is much closer to my neck than any shoulder rest would be - it feels like playing without a shoulder rest but with extra support for the collarbone. Sometimes I secure it with a rubber band but most of the time I just put it under my shirt. In this video it looks like I had it secured at a slightly different angle with a rubber band, nowadays I always align it entirely parallel to my collarbone. My setup is very particular to the shape of my shoulder/collarbone, it probably won't work for many people but it's definetely worth trying. Hope that helps:)
@@elliottpdavismusic Thank you for such a detailed response! I can visualize what you are talking about. You looked so relaxed despite having a longer neck so I had to ask. I am going to experiment with what you did here. Keep up the great work!
Great performance! Your interpretation of this piece is very majestic and mysterious!
Thank you!
So well played ❤

AAAH YES DO YOU FEEL IT HES COMING!!
Ok
Thank you!!!
This is the future guys
The opening sounds like they are tuning up for an opera or something. Just awful music. Modren'e crap.
How strange words !!! This music is made "from Heaven" and is so incredible beautiful...try to listen mr. Patriot, with open ears...and free your mind from silly "nazisme" ideas...this music can do that...and give you a better life...full of light...instead of wartime darkness !!
I FRIGGIN LOVE THIS. THOMAS WAS MY CHILD HOOD AND NOW I PLAY THE VIOLIN, SO MY LIFE IS COMPLETE. 👉❤️👈
the reverb of the room makes this sound like crap
Richard Strauss = Nazi musik
Richard Strauss = the best composer of the twentieth century, and Nazism has nothing to do with music
He was the head of the Nazis' Reichsmusikkammer.
@@christianpatriot7439 and who cares, today his masterpieces remain and what matters the rest are stupid things like communists
Many composers, conductors, were forced to work under the Nazis under threat of being arrested or worse. He was exonerated on any wrongdoing during denazification, as he was personally against everything the Nazis did.

Lol
They suck #facts
Fun fact Fuck you
They did it for fun so stfu
Thank you gentleman.
Man shut the fuck up these are literal children

Thanks, but I didn’t write this. All credit goes to Tim Kuskie, who arranged this back in 2018 at Tanglewood. It’s a hilarious arrangement!
