The original name is Maison Martin Margiela, named after the designer Martin Margiela -- Maison being the french word for House.
Ngl, not knowing Galliano's name takes away any credibility you might've had. Very basic video. Just go watch Martin Margiela: In His Own Words if you want to know about Margiela's literal design and branding decisions.
