hey do you reccomend a lut for black and white?
@@stevenluna3756 mmm I don’t know any that I use. I typically just desaturate and tweak contrast/shadows

This just so so beautiful wow
@@DamiShinkaiye 😊
The paint job sucks. you all strive to give film colors on a digital camera. It's at least funny. Take a film camera and shoot with it and don't do unnecessary work. You have a great digital camera, make it a beautiful color and not this gloom and fading of the film)) Bro, take the same clip with normal color and make it good without those artifacts. I can't find a single clip from this camera to understand how it shoots. All the clips are terribly colored ala film )))) creepy - it's a mass insanity something like that

Amazing!
@@juansegramm thank you so much ☺️
Amazing

Beautiful shots and correction/grading. The FX3 always produces wonderful, cinematic images, especially with an anamorphic lens. Would you mind to share some insights on your node tree in resolve and which film emulation you´ve used?
fantastic
@@CigarShark 🫶
Beautiful shots! How did you stabilize your footage? internal stabilizer on "Active"? Or did you stabilize in post? <3
Tbh it looks buttery smooth, love it!
@@Boss-uq7lb thank you! Its all in post since the FX3 doesn’t have anamorphic stabilization which is different from IBIS, I had to do all stabilization in resolve. The camera lock feature works really well from mostly static shots and it mimics a tripod!
so fucking good
@@kylespartero I appreciate u

You've got some beautiful videos!
@Dstonephoto thank you! 🫶🫶🫶
Hello Julius, I absolutely love this short film and it's exactly what I aspire to do one day when I travel. Great music, editing, framing, and color grading!. My question is, did you color grade this movie from S-log3 manually or did you use a LUT preset. Thank you for creating and sharing this art!
@@Zicane_Stryfe thank you so so much! It means a lot 🫶 filmed in s-log 3 and graded in davinci with a film emulation by tom bolles based on Kodak Vision3 500T film stock. Then I tweaked it a ton until I was content with the look I was going for (moodier, punchier contrast, deeper blacks, reduced highlights) I appreciate you taking the time to watch and I’m glad you enjoyed 🤍
@@juliuschurafilms thank you for this information and reply! I look forward to seeing more wonderful videos from you.

Hi, I love all the shots and compositions. Great work, Julius. Which nd filter did you use and what is this aspect ratio? Its incredible!

OMG! Love the lens and the look! the music!!! is here a LUT used here or mainly the filter you used gave it that look? I'm not a videographer but this certainly makes me want to become one.
@@SeahawkMoments ayyy thank you!!! it was filmed in s-log so I could color grade it however I’d like. I went with a film emulation power grade based on Kodak Vision3 500T, but I made a lot of adjustments. graded in Davinci Resolve! I appreciate you checking it out ☺️
@@juliuschurafilms it’s excellent. I’m going to Japan in March and now you make me want to video instead of photograph!
@ ahhh ur gonna love it. Why not both? Funny enough I’m looking into photography in the near future. Both mediums have their unique features. Hope you have an amazing trip!
@@juliuschurafilms its just difficult in the sense I would want to have 2 cameras on me, and then your mind will constantly be on bend trying to decide well should I photo here or video it?
@@juliuschurafilms another thing, it near impossible for anyone to truly appreciate art from a phone screen. I watched your video maybe 4x now on my pc and TV and it brings out the true potential of your creation, which is excellent!

Beautiful, not only the video but the sound design. Great job!
@@WasabiNoise thank you sm 😊
I'm curious about how you get your footage so steady, especially some of them looks like was shoot handheld
@@beijingrice7324 95% were handheld. A lot of shots are “static” so I just hold as still as possible. It helps to hold at the waist or full extended with a camera strap or having a top handle. Even then, without IBIS, the raw footage has a ton of micro jitters that I fix by using davinci resolves stabilization when coloring.
