Is there a proper mix of problems or best practices?

This stuff is amazing but it does not go far enough. Children need to be taught the meta cognitive strategy involving their EMOTIONS too.and that involves being taught more about how the brain works. movies like Pixar’s “inside out” are a great start. And also how to not be manipulated by others, all of which are part of metacognition and also involve “theory of mind” which helps us to try to understand other minds and ultimately, their motives too. Great topic and completely essential at this very moment of dis and misinformation. We need everybody to metacognate on all three points, NOT JUST CHILDREN

A great overview of practical metacognition in a real classroom setting. I love the colours for indicating levels of confidence. I'm going to rewatch this and think about how this could work in my online classes.

Blocking practice is used in school despite all the evidence that Interleaving practice is much more helpful to memorize information better. It‘s important for students to know about interleaving when learning at home! I subscribed 👍

I tried this strategy but didn't help. May be I could not plan it properly.

In reality, people need to be engaged with whats presented. Or even furthering this concept.. tell them to go out and find out about it.. and come back to the class and share their findings.. in the end the person learning is the student therefore are responsible in acquiring it.. follow me for more learning tips lol. My 2 cents.
