Junghans Max Bill 027/3700.00 Hand Winding. Bauhaus design in a 34mm case. Amazing simplicity. Check out the super smooth second hand with a 28,800bph heartbeat. I was concerned this watch would look small on my wrist (6'2'' 220 lbs) It's perfect! It's all dial, and egg shell white so it really looks bigger than it seems at first. 18mm calfskin strap is nice. This is my first German watch and I...

    I have just performed the same upgrade for the sounds. Did you experience on your side less coasting effect on the hub? Here whatever the level of grease I apply, the free wheel turns the cranks 💁

    • @tomgannan6845
      @tomgannan6845 3 года назад

      Bit of a late reply but either there is too much grease or the spring tension is too high

    I'm worried about the fact that there might be more friction when having more teeth, can anyone confirm this ?

    • @PersonaN007Grata
      @PersonaN007Grata 5 лет назад

      Antoine Morin-Prévost From my experience, the friction difference is very small. With the momentum of the bike and rider, you can’t feel a difference. Maybe if you were to coast all the way to a stop, there may be a meter or two loss. Maybe. Although there are more teeth on the pawls, they’re very shallow and close together which in turn requires less pressure on the springs. In other words, the springs don’t need to be pressed out as much. So possibly, it may even be less friction.

      @t.j.goldwater 5 лет назад

      Thats right, marginally more friction. The point of more engagement point is for technical biking. If you’re climbing roots and rocks with a MTB you want your drivetrain to engage as fast as possible. (If you have to backpedal a bit because you can’t clear a full pedal stroke etc)

      This particular ratchet kit only works with some DT Swiss hubs such as the 240 and 350.

    Is 54 supposed to be noisier?

    • @arutkows9
      @arutkows9 6 лет назад

      oscar arellano it’s maybe a little louder. Definitely higher pitched as there are more teeth engaging.

    • @oscararellano6373

      I just bought the kit and it's very silent, do you think it depends on the use? How soon should the sound be stronger?

    Thanks for the video - but why removing the kassette?

    • @arutkows9
      @arutkows9 6 лет назад

      Christoffer Rohr I think you can leave the cassette on the body. Either way is fine. I was able to clean cassette with it removed.
