I’m glad you guys talked about this, I can totally relate. When I have so much homework, heavy loaded classes and studying for the MCAT I just go in my own world, I distance myself from family and I go months without seeing them bc I feel like they don’t understand what I’m going through. I rather just deal with everything myself and not loose focus.. it’s crazy how much stress can make us distance ourselves. I always felt so alone in this, I always hear my neighbors partying every other weekend and I’m grinding studying and living with little to no pleasure. I really need to find a balance and find a happy medium. Thank you guys for being so real. I feel less alone

I’m also latina and i’m pursuing my Doctorate in occupational therapy in El Paso Texas and I love that this podcast is so relatable! it literally feels like going to war when studying and getting out of that studying mode can be hard sometimes! Just a suggestion but I know I would love that type of content. (Nursing student here). Love the content nonetheless foos.

I had the same study habits in nursing school. I'd study for right at 30 minutes; when the 30 minutes was done, I'd stop where I was and walk away for about an hour. I would go and listen to music, watch TV, go to the gym or something, and after an hour or so, I'd go back and study for another 30 minutes. Then repeat the rest of the day. I'm in an online grad school program now and have reverted back to those same study habits. You guys are an inspiration and great mentors!! ¡Mucha suerte a los dos, mis reyes! 😎

Hi, what do you feel/ recommend is the best most way to keep focus during lectures? Doesn’t matter what I do to change but I get sleepy then i try to study the material on my own & can’t seem to focus either. I have the biggest brain fog & micro is kicking my ass!
