How in blue blazes did you miss Bob Gibson of the Cardinals whose 102.2 fast ball was almost lethal-I say almost lethal because he and Don Drysdale ( who also may have broken the century club) were vicious "head hunters" putting many top hitters on their backsides. I can't imagine getting hit by ptiches at that velocity, especially in the head. And remember there were NO batting helmets in the 50's and 60's.
