I had to tune my bass slightly down for this song. Around 20 cents. So the E string for example is somewhere between E and Eb.

I changed the guitar effects half way through the song to resemble the original sounds as much as i could. @@adammadtin8451 I probably used the neck pickup with a little bit of tone. But if im honest i dont remember exactly what i did to get this tone because i tweaked around a little bit with the EQ too

You have to tune your guitar up to about half a semitone. So the E string will be somewhere between E and F. If you use a tuner you could try tuning it up about 40 cents and see if that sounds better. I did it by ear myself. They probably tuned the song to something different then 440 hz but i couldn't find any info on it.
I think the original song might actually be played in the key of F with the herz set to 432 or something.

I think I just tuned it in 440hz if I remember correctly. I do know that they sometimes tune their instruments Eb, Ab, Db, Gb but in this case i just used standard tuning. But you could always try to detune your guitar by half a semitone (up or down) or something. See if that sounds better to you

Do you mean in which key i play? Or on what note i begin?
The tabs can be played in E standard on bass. However, this song is in G standard on guitar, unusual for the Smiths.
