Hiking Buckskin Gulch in 1995 (Utah/Arizona)
One of the longest continuous slot canyons in the world, Buckskin Gulch passes through roughly 16 miles of unique formations and undulating sandstone walls in the northern stretch of the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness. Tim and I did this hike over 2 days.

Very nice! I have collected a lot of Windows and French doors for this purpose as well. However, I was planning on framing in some of the old windows to use on the roof instead of the corrugated clear plastic roofing. I am curious if you considered using old windows as the roof or if there was a reason why you preferred not to?
I did consider it. The reasons I chose not too were basically related to shedding water and waterproofing. The windows are framed and therefore if used on roof would “puddle” water around frames leading to wood rot. Also not easy to waterproof it properly between various windows. Also the weight of windows is significant for working with them. Have seen others do it though so up to you. These were just my reasons

How are you liking the corrugated roof material? Does it hold heat in or would you use glass next time?
It works well and has held up extremely well. It does seem to hold the heat in well. No I would not do glass next time, much harder to work with and many greenhouses use the corrugated material.

The one in the video is actually a Northern Pacific Rattlesnake. But we do have King Snakes around and love them.

The one that worked great for me was oscillating tool with the fine blade that’s kind of like a hacksaw blades teeth but curved like a standard oscillating tool blade.

Just getting started is the hardest part. Lots of detailed RUclips videos on building simple sheds helps with the fine details of how to do things. Good luck!

No tie down bolts?
Sorry I didn’t show it. I anchored the baseplate to the footing with 5/16 in galvanized expansion anchor bolts. Some use the the large Tapcons but I prefer expansion anchors

Great build. I'm planning to use Aluminum framed sliding doors mainly and other similar framed windows. I'm thinking will last longer in the more humid environment and living just up the hill from a river valley. Thinking using steel as well to keep a more portable design and also using pin footing like Diamond or Handi-piers.
Sounds good. I like the idea of maximizing use of metal. I considered but chose not to use piers because we wanted to keep wood off the ground but didn’t want an elevated floor with a “crawl space” underneath because we have a lot of rattlesnakes.

I love everything about! We've already collected all our old windows and are about to start. Was there any consideration given to adding collar ties to the roof rafters or a ridge board support in the center of each gable? I'm thinking I'll have to do that since we have wind and snow loads.
I as going to use Simpson Hurricane straps on rafters but went with Timberlock lag screws which are hurricane code compliant - will send you a link. I also through-bolted the foot plate to the concrete with expansion anchors. I did reinforce support on the gable rafters with support in middle of each gable rafter. No, intended more to give ideas and inspire. There are lots of how-to videos for building sheds and small buildings as well as how to install windows, doors, and roofs which you might find useful.

I've collected all my windows and doors from various places and have them under a tarp. I did end up with mostly double paned heavy duty doors that were meant for an outdoor screened in porch. I will be tackling the job myself and maybe get someone to finish the roof since my fear of heights will take over. Many of the windows can open because they are fully functioning windows meant for a house. I plan to use those to open for cross ventelation and want to use the greenhouse in the summer. I will be placing a shade cloth over the roof in the summer just to keep the heat down.

We just finished our Greenhouse. Kinda went down the same path with the recycled doors and windows. But we ended up building a base (pretty much a deck) and built the greenhouse on top of it. I kinda like that yours is on the ground. But that snake you showed is the exact reason we opted for a deck base. We now have marine plywood on top of the deck. We plan to paint the plywood white so snakes and such are more visible. Also I wish I would have painted mine before we put the roof panels on. We didn't. And now it will be a pain. You can see on my videos, a lot of the wood is still unpainted. I'd be afraid to use the sprayer like you did... Very nice job.
Yeah I wouldn't use a sprayer with the panels up. I found painting to be the most annoying part of the process actually, even with using a sprayer. Not the hardest part but the most tedious and not fun. Watched your videos. The deck looks great and structure looks nice and solid. Great job!
Green tape is better than blue tape for painting FYI.
