Good way to blow up a tempered piece of glass (by accident)
Does high sharpness really matter that much in tissue?
It absolutely does. Higher sharpness =deeper penetration. Could be the difference between a shot hitting a heart, or just barely coming up short and now you have an injured animal running off to die in who knows where….
@@joewoodchuck3824 realisticly I use a round file to sharpen my head and make them sharpish. Read up on Fred bear and how and what he used and why. This is just showing that it can be done on a window. You don’t need a fancy sharpening tool to sharpen knives or broadheads
@@Mulching_man Ah, but knives are a completely different animal. Kitchen knives in particular for me. I finish them with an 8,000 grit whetstone and it makes a world of difference in culinary work.
@@kogasoldier9379 In principle you would appear to be right, but I wonder if anyone has done tests.
Awesome trick if it were an apocalypse.... any other time it a gimmicky joke.
@@jasonfifield499 it’s not a gimmick or a joke. It actually does work.
If this doesn't work for you, take the edge to a sharpening stone first and this trick should work the next time your edge gets dull

I remember years ago the company I was working for had a very similar job and the guy on the mulcher was filling huge dips in the ground with the stuff we came back a few weeks later after a shit ton of rain and holy hell i think rotten cedar mulch may be the worst thing I've ever smelled.
Hell ya
what size shoe do you wear
@@thewhatever24789 13 why?
Technically you arent "sharpening" the blade, you're honing it. And yes this absolutely works ,i frequently will hone my pocket knife on my work truck window ,if the edge rolls while out in the field
@@brooksysdead yes this is true. It’s honing it. Most people call it sharpening it though.

@@UnChaeL-Paradise it don’t hurt the window at all. I’ve been sharpening knives and broadheads on my windows since I was 17 and have never had to replace one.

$250 sounds cheap to load up then off load equipment also fuel up truck and equipment then go do the job and drive both to and from the job. Not sure about everyone else but that does not sound expensive to me. With the prices of everything these days I would have thought that would be a little more expensive than that.
@@jessesmith1181 that’s only within a 5 mile radius of where I live. Once I go outside that, depending on mileage, the price starts at 350 and goes up from there.
Would the Rake-n-Ator work as an attachment on the front of a compact tractor?

Fantastic, Mulching Man! That’s exactly what I wanted to see. You can run the head at optimal performance with this. I saw on the Mastodon website that you can buy a mulcher with E-Tech on a bigger screen for an additional cost. Was this iPhone app an alternative option on your mulcher? And many thanks for the video.
Yes it’s the alternative option. It’s also a free app. Paying $2k for the screen and then having to get the screen wired into the machine, it was just a better option for me. I don’t really look at it much except for when it’s winter and I need to know the temp of the hydro oil. Glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching. God bless. Please like, share, and subscribe.
I love the little one learning about life on the farm. Hello from South Australia
Hello Australia. We are from southern indiana. USA
Mulching Man, I have a request for you. Since the Mastodon 60-S is equipped with a smart drive that can connect to your phone, can you please give a quick overview of how you use it while mulching? Thank you.
It’s hard to do that while filming due to the smart drive is on my iPhone as well. I guess I could download it onto another phone. So yes, I’ll show how that works on my next video.
That’s high for that little head
Unlike the cmaf or the fecon this head is 100% hydraulic driven. Has a 30-75gpm flow rate range, has a lifetime warranty on the body, a 2 year “idgf” what happens to the head warranty, and, you can work on it yourself without voiding the warranty. Also the head can totally be rebuilt for less than 10k. Unlike 99% of the rest of the heads out there. Also it’s not a small head. It’s 3200lbs, 64” wide cut
Lmfao 🤣
I subscribed twice. Let’s go.

Nice job man I’ll be your first comment ❤
As someone who recently lost a very close person from cancer, this means a lot to the little one and his family. Seeing the way he is smiling means so much❤❤
He was shot at close range in the stomach with a 12ga shotgun. He lost 1/2 his stomach, all his large intestine, left kidney, spleen, and 3 ribs. He’d been in the hospital now for 2 years. He started following me on TikTok and it changed his whole outlook on life. I’m glad I was able and capable of doing this for him. He and his mother had been through a lot and he really needed this surprise.
@Mulching_man oh man, that's terrible.... it's a shame a young one has to go through this...thanks for supporting and surprising him. You could tell how happy he was by his big smile 😄
Hopefully, he gets better soon! ❤️🙏🏼

Didnt think u used 20 gauge in usa
It's one of the major shotgun rounds.
@Ender_Consolidated It is in the uk I watch a fair few gun shooting channels from the usa and never seen a 20 used so I just guessed that yanks didn't use it only 12 gauge
@@davidhopkins9021I have several 20ga shotguns. I have several 12 and 16ga too. The 12ga is just the most popular over here for some stupid reason. I prefer a 20ga over a 12. Less recoil.

I’m looking into purchasing the 60”inch RUT Mulcher. Hearing the feedback back on these machines makes me feel more confident in my decision
They are great machines, but if you want a better, smaller debris, you need a drum mulcher.

As a traditional only hunter, my go to broadheads are the Tree Sharks and Timber Sharks. They are backed with either a 100 gn or a 150 gn insert.
