Nice...it's all about getting out and doing something!
Numbers work, for a project series.
Thanks, I'm trying to figure this all out!
You need some tunes to pic it up. Jam On!!!!!!!

Yes Chris rear inner looks great 👍
Thanks Andy!
Amazing patch work for sure Chris!!! Yes , you are correct about Jason and his Honda. Mindblowing restoration he has done eh!?! Nice of you to give his channel a mention Chris, you,re a great car guy!!! Cheers, Bernie
He has a piece of art there. I'll never be that good but it gives me something to strive for now that I know it can be done.
@@ChrisJEllis .. Everyone has their area where they do their best work Chris.. You are doing a fantastic job restoring the body back to original. That is what Jason has done. You both are achieving the same results buddy!!! Cheers
Patching Patches is a Full Time Job LOL
She is Joe, on one hand I wish I could retire and work on her more but the other one says I wouldn't be able to afford parts, so that wouldn't work....lol
Doing good Chris keep going
Thanks!
Good to see the Old Girl coming back to life!
Thanks Jason!

Neat project. I look forward to seeing it progress.
Thanks for stopping by!
How many cats do you have???
To many
looking good.
Thanks Kevin!
Another bit dons on beetle Chris . Looking great keep up the good work
Thanks Andy!
I feel your pain brother, looking good! What settings are you running?
Heat 1 and wire speed 6. It's an old Blue Point 115 MiG. If I turn the speed down and heat up I burn through even the new metal. They said 2-3 on heat and 4-5 on speed. Don't work for me.
Your doing well chris, I see improvement in every patch! Keep givin' er!
Thanks Craig!
Good looking patch
Always a good day when you get one in!
For the algorithm Very nice
Thanks for checking in!

Aaaaaaggghhhh…STOP! You might have mad skills but you suck at narrating!
@@richardhenry3054 If there's a way you have to improve let me know. I'm always ready to hear any suggestions.
That's like half a beetle
Pretty much....lol
With enough beer youll get her finished up. Looking good.
Lol....yep!
@ChrisJEllis I was a big drinker at onetime and that was my motto. Don't care how many beer it takes I'm finishing it lol. I look forward to watching your progress having my morning cup of tea. It's 9 30 am here
It's 7:30 here. Getting ready to go in the mill
Well you have a good day and get back at that bug, i have the bug now to find a project pre 80's ford truck to make into my daily driver. Rat rod im thinking.
@@toddblaisdell6841 I love my 64 f100
I suggest you use a 1/2 horse grinder with a stone wheel Old school One stone will last the whole job and cut just as good. I will show you mine in today's video
I need to see this!
Looking more like a car every day keep going
I'm working on it!

Nice!
On cleaning in that back louvre area, I was wondering if one couldn't take a small piece of cable, run in through a small pipe (like copper), with just enough sticking out to give you a frayed end. Crimp the pipe and stick other end in a drill to give you an extended wire brush. If small enough, could fit in those louvres, and let you wire brush the insides. Loving your vids!
I'm up for any suggestions!
Hope you got a fresh box of beer with all that heating fluid l o l
That's a given!!!!! Lol
Good used 1973-79 dashboards are still available.
@@vintage76vipergreenBeetle good to know!
Looking good so far ,the dash on a super is a nightmare with all the wiring underneath.I’d fill the cracks and cover with pvc
@@vwcoco I'm still probably going to have to pull it out. I worked at Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep from 98-2010. Had to pull a lot of dashes.

@ChrisJEllis You're welcome my brother, that's what we're here for, to support each other.
Heat in these cars was not able to keep people warm in cold climates. I remember hearing people say they will never buy another one. VW went to water cooled for that reason
My folks had a gas heater in their's when I was a kid. I never really drove mine in the winter when I was a teenager.
Well the heater channel or tunnel is basically the rocker panel on the whole side. Thats one thing nice about a VW beetle. They put the heat in the back from the engine and use the rocker panel to pump it up to dash. So you replace them and you have new rockers.
What’s an heater tunnel?
The duct that brings warm air to the front of the car.
Sometimes I think it would be easier to jack up the horn button and dirve another car under it . I'm amazed at how much work someone is willing to put into a car that is so full of cancer . I think your doing a awesome job with what you have to work with !
Lol ...that would be easier and thanks!
Keep poking along, i check in everdsy if not a couple time to see your progress
Thanks!
