Yes. In general, tighter gives you the most support/rebound potential. It doesn't mean you will lift more with tighter wraps if you aren't prepared for it. Usually immediately after a set, you will take the wraps off for that very reason.

That's the problem though. When I work on leg drive (with 135 lbs on the bar), I slide still. Great vid though ! I just need to keep chipping away at this leg drive thing.
Same. I slide super easily and can only seem to do it when I lift my glutes off the bench a bit

Question about the barbell grip, do the thumbs have to be wrapped around the bar or could a bulldog/suicide grip be used for the benchpress? Appreciate it 👍
