Praise God for this week, without it we are weak. Only through God we have strength to face the day.

How quickly and often I am frustrated at hypocrisy, yet I infrequently make myself - in an act of self-reflection - the target of my analysis. I am struck by the pause described in Mark 11:11. What did Christ think and pray about that night before returning to disrupt the hypocrisy He saw in the temple? How many times am I oblivious to the things I do that put me in the exact same camp as “THOSE PEOPLE”?…or THAT FIG TREE? I am beyond grateful for amazing grace that applies to even ME!

In the depths of his soul, that boy understood that Baptism is more than a ritualistic ordinance. He new subconsciously the rite of Baptism is the visible sign of the invisible reality that God is washing away all his sins, infusing him with righteousness, justifying him, granting him everlasting life.
