Well, the Hindi vocals are by Bindu Sri and the rap by M.C. V. The keyboards are played by Rueben Martin. Strange thing here is none of the three ever met each other. I wrote the basic track, and it was recorded in my home studio, which had become very popular with well-known people, one of the most famous aka Asian remixers Xecutive, who mixed Xtra hot and Garam ma Garam here. After playing a very rough version to a few friends and family, I was encouraged to take to the level. After adding more sounds and creating a better demo with Bindu's singing only, I played the track to a couple of DJ's called Paresh and Munjal of High Wycombe,UK. They asked asked me to bring a cassette copy of the demo to test it at a daytime gig at Hipperholme, London The reaction from the dance floor was one I shall never forget. Paresh and Munjal suggested that I added a rap to the track. I searched around and found M.C.V. from Wembley, UK After that, I mixed around 20 versions of aaja re aaja. The two never each other until our first gig at the Hippodrome, London The name of the group is inspired and is a homage to my mentor's group, which is the Biddu orchestra. I had played a demo track to Biddu, and after listening to this track, he offered a few suggestions. I listened to him and instead wrote a new song called aaja re aaja. My involvement is the creator, writer,and mixer. I started the record company after the track was rejected by Asian and mainstream record companies. My brother Kishan designed the cover artwork. If you own the original vinyl, inscribed by the label is a message to someone special to me. The tracks were edited and compiled on video machines with digital audio. The first airplay was on BBC Birmingham on 1st April 1990 I believe from rumours that it was going to be featured in a movie called "Missisipi Masala" featuring Denzel Washington.
