Thanks to Zack Nelson of 185 Miles South podcast.
Truly the best Hardcore Punk Podcast in the world.
Zack took the time to get the audio from our first Instagram Live

I had alot of fun talking to everyone on the Instagram Live and we will hold another soon. Thanks to everyone who donated to Fishtails Animal Rescue and of course- everyone who asked questions, checked in and showed love.
I hope to see you all this weekend at This Is Hardcore 2024

Holy moly...I guess the details were cut out, but Parris was about to talk about the time he saw Harley almost get in a fight on the Revenge tour.. I'm gonna guess he was gonna talk about a show in SF..I won't go into the story, but it was pretty nuts. Maybe Parris will be bored sometime and read this comment. If YOU do.. out front of the venue. You and that Asian dude (he was no joke, BRAVE).. I was right there next to you... until you all made it into the van. That night?

Hello, well of course I remember that day. It’s not every day that you get into an altercation with 50 dudes. The Asian dude was my friend Nelson. No joke is right. Were you the guy who stood with us all through the Frey? What’s your name, I couldn’t believe you did that. Seemed like were gonna get anialated. We held our ground well enough, but our Van certainly got the brunt of it. Parris

The guitar player you were talking about was George Lynch. He use to hang out at my friends record shop. He was very funny and down to earth. Very sad to hear him talk about Cromags drama. Their legacy is secure, but they could have been so much more if they could have kept it together. Paris still rips on guitar 🎸

Great show/interview... Not only Parris Mayhew is a smart, articulate and passionate person, who has a lot of interesting things to say, but the host is also smart enough to let his guest speak and to come back at the right time with some pertinent comments and questions. Very enjoyable, and definitely the best HC podcast right now (better than you know who, haha). This podcast is almost 4 hours but it goes back pretty quickly. Also the track by the Aggros rips, especially for an instrumental track! Can't wait to hear more.

Ha. Harley was on Blabbermouth recently telling fans not to buy an upcoming AOQ vinyl release as it is not official. He said he is working on getting it out with ALL the members getting a fair cut. Regarding JJ, I think the 2nd Bloodclot album with Todd Youth is great.

Great interview, thank you for this, and thanks to Parris for being such an engaging, informative speaker. I learned SO much. 2 things that would improve these interviews in the future: Joe needs a better quality/higher def cam, and also not have a giant microphone covering his face, lol. But again, thanks for an amazing interview with one of the musical greats of the hardcore scene.

Hmmm I made a few incorrect statements during my conversation with Joe which I would like to correct. When recounting the events of a lifetime you can overlook peripheral details while attempting to arrive at the center of a point being made. While mentioning how Eric Casanova was not afforded proper credit for his songs, or more accurately while I was listing songs JJ did not write but took credit for, I accidentally said, “signs of the times” that was a mistake, that is one of JJ’s. Also while talking about Doug’s contribution I neglected to list his contribution to the songs FUGITIVE and DEATH CAMPS. Also in a recent chat with Doug the other day on the phone he revealed a bit of info that I was never privy to about the riff he contributed to Crush the Demoniac (the main riff that sounds like Maiden). That’s a story I think he should tell but it made be laugh and reevaluate my indignant feelings about that song. Parris
