Just watched this film from a recommendation. It sticks with you. I live 5 miles from where this was filmed and knew nothing about it. Indi, not Hollywood. Not false true acting. Great.
This film introduced me to Amanda Plummer, and cemented her in my mind to be a fearless and dedicated actor. Most may know her from The Fisher King, or more recently as Honey Bunny in Pulp Fiction, but she made her bones with this small picture, bringing complexity to badassery with this tortured character study. Butterfly Kiss was a disturbingly good film.
I still own this movie on VHS… I bought it when it came out, 60 bucks back then, new movies were so expensive! The moment she took off her clothes and I saw all those chains and piercings, was truly one of the most shocking moments in under ground films for me.

Anybody know where to see this?

The Cinematographer of this went on to shoot the Avengers, the Greatest Showman and Charlotte's Webb. Mad.
A masterpiece. Thelma & Louise on the East Lancs.
