Frank - Integrated Land Management
Integrated land management is based on four simple principles to help you achieve project success, in the shortest possible time interval, to stay within your budgetary constraints, and to avoid negative environmental impacts. Those principles are: 1) Your Land Comes First; 2)Education; 3)Planning; and, 4) Consolidation.

This is all well and good, but the cost for this platinum grade roadwork must be astronomical. Great for a commercial endeavor, but many buying mountain land could never afford such practices and simply need something more drivable than a dirt UTV trail. I've looked at properties where the cost of roadwork exceeded the cost of the land, which killed many deals.

Simply the Single Best video on how to build a road for the home owner, bar none!!! There are only two things that you could improve on. One is a mistake you have made and the second is just something you could go into more depth about. 1. Don't turn your face away from the camera while you talk to the camera Either keep facing the camera and gesture with your arms & hands toward the subject matter while ALWAYS facing the camera or have a second camera set up to catch you after you have made the turn to your subject area. Always facing the camera helps continue the trust you have been developing with your audience throughout the video. 2. I wish you had gone into the different layering of lifts and how to construct the lifts with the different materials warranted in different stages of the road.. Damn good job, Damn good job !!!!!!!!

Does clay based fill dirt work as a graded base for a steep road with gravel on top? I have a steep driveway that is soft in spots. Whatever is underneath the gravel is spongy and won't harden up. I want to remove this spongy material, whatever it is, and fill and re grade the driveway. Can I use fill dirt from the local area for this? The base in the good parts of the driveway is hard and the gravel packs into it and locks into an almost paved like surface. Ideally I would like the entire driveway to be like this.

Frank, this was outstanding. With a 1,000 ft driveway through the woods in my future, you have given me the confidence to proceed. Is there a certification or academic degree that a contractor with your level of knowledge and competence should have? What advice can you give for driveways that will need to be plowed?

This is a great and informative video however, as a previous video producer four television broadcast, may I suggest that the volume of the music is down 30 to 40% lower than it appears in this video production? When listening to this on good quality stereo equipment this music overshadows the information being spoken about making it virtually impossible to hear clearly and accurately. It would be worth turning down or producing the video once again and then uploading the newest version of this video.
