That's a good question. I went to ilha grande the first time was just after the carnaval and we booked 1-2 day before going there. For me there will always be availability, but at this time of the year, the options may be limited and the hostels closer to the city center are the ones primarily booked. So you'll always have options a bit further like 10-15 min walking to the pier.

Yes the hike is 3 hours one way. At that time only cash was accepted

C'est une bonne question ! Oui et non, en fait en dessous des deux sièges ( lorsque les lits ne sont pas encore fait) on peux y glisser une valise assez large, ou sont sac de backpackers. Lorsque c'est la nuit les sacs peuvent rester en dessous ( c'etait le cas pour mon sac the backpack, forclaz 40L). Tu peux aussi y mettre ton sac a dos. Il y a aussi une espèce de mini table accroché au plafond ( une grille dans l'allée principale ) cela peut-etre pratique pour y mettre deux trois affaires Mais moi mon sac a dos ne passait clairement pas dedans haha.

Yes, on the below part, you see two seats facing each other. That's for the two people, with a small table in between. Once the beds are prepared, one stays on the lower bed ( made by the two seats inclined to create the bed , there's this mattess on top ) and the other one on the top. Yeah I've heard really good things about Manila and those places you've mentioned. Never been there but I guess that's will be part of one of my next trips ! How many days would you recommend to stay in Manila ? And any other places suggestions ?

@@HorizonHugo I suggest you stay at least a week in Manila to have sufficient days to go around the Metro. BGC the New York of Manila is the ideal place for foreign tourists for its outstanding security in the community. However, many apartments became a bit touristy and pricey due to the influx of foreign visitors. Therefore the nearby business district of Ayala, Makati is the alternative and Poblacion Makati is my best recommendation. They have all nightlife because of their upbeat bars & cafes. Another interesting place is the McKinley Hills, where there are mostly shops and outdoor activities one of which is the gondola rides similar to Venice Italy. The Greenhills Shopping Center is where many locals shop because of the cheap prices in bargains. The new Entertainment City of Manila which is Aseana City is also highly recommended for it offers many Casino Resorts and gigantic Malls like Okada Manila, City of Dreams, Parqal Mall, Ikea Mall, Dragon Asia, and the Mall of Asia which is the 3rd largest Mall in the world. Intramuros or so-called the old Manila or the walled city of Manila is also a must to visit. Binondo the oldest Chinatown in the world along the Pasig River Esplanade is where you can find authentic Chinese and Filipino restaurants and street foods. Island hopping can be done after your Maniila adventure like island hopping in Siargao Islands, Boracay, Elnido and Coron Palawan, Panglao Island, Samal Islands, Camiguin Islands, Siquijor or the Mystic Island, Dumaguete City and Cebu City offers a community for backpackers doing canyoneering and hiking. And that's only 10% of my recommendation. The remaining 90% is up to you to discover. Since the Philippines is 7000 plus a group of islands. And many are still inhabitants. By the way, commuting can be a hassle at first. However, getting the motorcycle app and taxi app called Grab will make it easier for you to go around the metro. Tour visit Visa can be extended up to 6 mos.
